Last week’s panel at WBON was nothing short of powerful! ✨️

I had the delight of sitting alongside the fabulous Cassandra Pickett to discuss “The Hidden Link: How Hormones, Stress, and Relationships Impact Your Business Success.”

We unpacked the ways stress doesn’t just live in your mind. It shows up in your body, your energy, and even your business performance. From hidden hormone imbalances to the invisible emotional load many women carry, the conversation was raw, insightful, and so needed.

One of my favorite parts was seeing the lightbulbs go off as women realized that their burnout, brain fog, and fatigue aren’t “just part of being busy.” They’re signals from the body that deserve attention. 🙌🏽

Let’s clear something up:

A sluggish metabolism isn’t just about weight gain.
It can affect everything from your energy and focus… to your mood, motivation, and more.

Here are 5 hidden causes I often see in practice:

1️⃣ Underactive Thyroid
Your thyroid plays a major role in regulating metabolic rate. When it slows down, so does everything else.

2️⃣ Nutrient Gaps
Low levels of key nutrients. Like B vitamins, magnesium, and chromium can throw off blood sugar, energy, and hormone balance.

3️⃣ Toxin Exposure
Environmental toxins and oxidative stress can damage your mitochondria (aka the energy factories inside your cells).

These superfoods are small but mighty—packed with the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants your body needs to power up energy, immune function, and overall health.

The best part? They’re super easy to keep on hand and just as easy to sprinkle, spread, or stir into your everyday meals:

✨ Pesto
This herby goodness is full of antioxidants, vitamin K, and healthy fats. Grab a premade basil version or mix it up with fun twists like cilantro, kale, or h**p hearts. Add a dollop to eggs, sandwiches, or grain bowls for an instant flavor (and nutrient) boost.

✨ Chia Seeds
Tiny but fierce—chia seeds are rich in omega-3s and fiber. Stir into yogurt, oatmeal, or smoothies. Or combine with coconut milk, chill overnight, and boom: easy chia pudding!

✨ Cinnamon
