Full Circle of Choices, Inc Full Circle of Choices is dedicated to assisting community members with developmental disabilities.

Independent Living Services (ILS) provides education, instruction and training for those who choose to live on their own. ILS is designed to empower each client so that as they gain the skills needed to thrive on their own the dependence on our services will lesson over time. This type of service is for those that need training to learn how to live independently. Our support can begin while the in

dividual is living in the family home or as they begin to transition out of a group home living situation. The focus of ILS is on personal growth and skill development. The individuals who are served in this program have needs that can be supported between 1- 40 hours per month and are capable of becoming more and more independent over time. Supported Living Services (SLS) enables individuals who have significant support needs to live in their own homes. This service provides support up to 24 hours per day based on the needs of the individual. This type of service is individualized to the preferences of the person and as needs/preferences change the services will adapt to those changes. This service also assists our clients in exploring and building a natural support base, assisting the client to make decisions that empower them to manage their own flife and can focus on personal growth and skill development as needed.

Here is another Monday morning cup filler coming from our Specialty Health Ambassador (SHA) crew - fresh organic salad greens!

Our SHA group was recently able to enjoy a bountiful green harvest from their community garden plot in between conducting outreaxh for community at community events!

Happy May all!

Posting some pics from our Mother’s Day making group a little late; but with no spoiled presents for the moms in question!

The crew made bouquets using 3d printed vases, wooden crossword ‘Love you Mom’ signs and a a couple of other smaller builds.

Full Circle in Action!

Our participants, clients, and staff had the opportunity to work with Contra Costa Health, FEMA, and first responders in June to increase our community's ability to respond to a large scale emergency.

This year, the exercise focused around decontamination. Along with getting hosed down by EMS workers and a very early morning, we were able to learn about moulage (disaster drill makeup)...

So don't mind what is behind the emoji's on some of the pictures; but trust us... it's gross!

Again, huge thanks to all involved for working to include, respect and learn from our diverse community! Nothing about us; without us!

Full Circle clients, participants, and staff were excited to partner with Contra Costa Health, FEMA, and local emergency responders in Brentwood this year for the county’s annual full scale exercise.

Thanks to everyone involved for your efforts to include, respect, and learn from our diverse community in this year’s full scale exercise!

We look forward to continuing to partner with you to increase healthcare and first responder’s capacity to effectively serve everyone in any emergency no matter the size!

June Making Shenanigans!

Our weekend warriors got together today for our monthly making group!

This month, our crew decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and create some Mario Themed self-watering planters as well as some tasty 4th of July themed snacks.

You may notice that we have been able to up our making game recently by leveraging a generous donation from a community member to purchase our first higher end 3d printer (a Bambu Labs X-1 Carbon).

Since putting it together, our participants have been running this poor machine ragged and boy does the increased quality show!

Yesterday, Full Circle - in partnership with CCLN and other state and local agencies - rallied at the state capital to urge the governor and our legislators not to delay implementation of the DDS rate study.

During the rally our very own Seth and Kevin delivered testimony on how vital the supports they receive are to their lives and the importance of the work Direct Support Professionals do every day for them and other Californians throughout the state! Great job guys!

After the rally, a small team of Full Circle clients, ETC participants, and staff hit up capital offices to deliver stories, statements, and raise awareness of the effects this delay would have on human lives throughout the state.
