Dr. Best is proud to be part of a specialized cleft care team, helping patients with cleft lip and cleft palate receive the orthodontic care they need for healthy, confident smiles.
This is something that truly sets our office apart — not every orthodontist has the training or experience to work with cleft patients. Being part of a collaborative cleft team allows Dr. Best to work alongside other specialists to create life-changing results for these amazing patients.

We are honored to play a role in helping these smiles grow stronger every day. 💙

Dr. Best had an amazing time at Career Day at MPES! 🦷✨ She taught the students all about orthodontics, the path it takes to become an orthodontist, and oral hygiene. She explained how it takes 10-11 years of school to become an orthodontist because first you go to dental school to become a dentist, and then a residency to specialize in orthodontics. The kids had such great questions and were excited to learn how smiles are created and cared for! 😁She also had the best helpers who made the day even more fun!

Dr. Best and her family went to Richmond this weekend for the VAOF / VAO Meeting, and as always, they had an amazing time! The lectures covered everything from detailing orthodontic cases, jaw surgery for resolving sleep apnea, AI, and 3D printing. Dr Best loves keeping up to date on the newest research, and it’s a bonus when she gets to do it with her coresidents and former professors! 🐏 💛🖤

A trip to Richmond wouldn’t be complete if the Mahon family didn’t also make stops at Wegmans, Shyndigz (the best bakery!), a playground to visit friends, and ther old apparent on To***co Row!

Dr. Best had the BEST time visiting a group of sweet kindergartners (and her oldest daughter Arabella 💕) with the amazing dentist and friend, Dr. Pat, this week! 🦷✨

Teaching kids all about brushing, flossing, and keeping their smiles healthy is one of our favorite things to do. Their questions, excitement, and big smiles made our day! 😄

We had such a fun morning visiting the second graders at Millbridge Elementary School today! 🦷✨

It was a joy teaching these bright smiles all about the importance of oral hygiene — from proper brushing and flossing to healthy habits that keep their teeth strong and sparkling. The students asked great questions and did an amazing job showing off their brushing skills!
