Self Hypnosis - A personal exploration
begins Thursday, May 5-26 (4 weeks) 4:00 - 5:30

Self Hypnosis is an effective tool in changing bad habits, attitudes, fears and other unwanted behaviors or simply to learn to relax deeply, and be more mindful in daily life. You will learn to access your subconscious mind (where the cause of habits, beliefs, thoughts and action resides). Then, re-program with positive, productive, more useful habits and beliefs to improve the quality of everyday life. Not only does self hypnosis help us to make changes, it is a very healthy state of mind that can affect our physical body by lowering blood pressure and reducing stress. In the process of learning, you will benefit from the relaxation, become more mindful and enjoy the exploration of your inner self. You will gain an in-depth understanding of what self hypnosis is, how it works and how you can incorporate it into your life. Along with instruction, there is practice in class.

Group Hypnosis for deep relaxation and mindfulness
begins Saturday, May 7-28 (4 weeks) 10:00 - 11:00 am

Sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the relaxation. The focus of this hypnosis is deep relaxation with an emphasis on being more present in daily life. Enjoy the guided relaxations, soothing music, and receive suggestions to become more relaxed and more mindful. Being present enhances our experiences with others and ourselves. As you enjoy the journey to your inner self, you will receive the benefits that hypnosis offers. Deep relaxation is proven to increase health and wellness, lessen anxiety, lower blood pressure and improve sleep, to name a few. Join us for this journey and see where it takes you!. Each class begins with question/answer period, sharing, and then the group undergoes hypnosis suggestions to be more relaxed and mindful.

Meditation: Finding Calm in the Chaos (begins 9/12) - 5:15-6:15 or 6:00-7:00 pm) 6 weeks

When was the last time you set aside time to just be? Join us in guided meditation and enjoy the peace of simply sitting with what is. Receive both the short term and long term benefits of meditation, such as reducing stress, creating improved clarity and improved physical health. Not only is meditation good for general health, but teaches us how to be more mindful in our lives and to be more in touch with our inner voice. Participants may use a chair or floor. Be comfortable and simply relax.

Hypno Notes: 1-6-19

Mindfulness: Mindfulness is being present and aware in our lives in relationships, whether with family, work, or the relationship we have in our environment with ourselves as we maneuver about our daily lives. Mindfulness is not only healthy, but it helps us cultivate more rewarding connections with others. It helps us to be more positive as we live in the moment; not thinking of the past, or anticipating the future.

Mindfulness not only improves our relationships, but can help us to turn feelings of fear into love, despair into hopefulness, and disappointment into excitement. After all, we cannot change what we do not acknowledge. Once we are aware of how we are feeling, if that is something that is not serving us well, Hypnosis is an effective tool to help re-program our thinking. In Hypnosis, you are in a relaxed state of mind. Positive words are said, and repeated so they absorb into the subconscious mind. This is how we change. Change is a process: It begins with a thought, which creates a feeling, which causes action = change!

Concord Community Education classes are underway. The Introduction to Self Hypnosis was successful and students had a good time and learned a lot. The Advanced Self Hypnosis is almost over and students have taken what they learned and are now putting it into practice in daily life, using advanced tools like breathing techniques to deepen their level of hypnosis.

Next - starting October 24 is Hypnosis for Mindfulness. This is group hypnosis for living in the present moment. Participants are hypnotized to be aware of their breath, thereby, coming into the present. Being fully present enhances our relationships, both personal and work.
