Joy L. (Fuller) Estock

Visitation: December 4, 2025 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral: December 5, 2025 11:00 AM at New Leaf UMC.

The Marcy family and staff extend their deepest sympathy to her family.

Joy Lynette Fuller Estock—beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and
friend—passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Hillsboro, Oregon, at the age of 89.
Born in Edinboro, Pennsylvania on October 25, 1936, Joy was the daughter of R.A. Adelbert
Fuller and Marie Elena Flynn Fuller. She grew up in Edinboro with her siblings, Captain G*e
Fuller and Jerry Fuller. A proud graduate of Edinboro High School (Class of 1954), Joy went
on to earn her degree in Secondary Education from Edinboro State Teachers College in
1958. Her love of learning carried her throughout her life, culminating in a Master of
Education from Lake Erie College in 1990.

On August 23, 1958, Joy married Joseph Estock, Jr. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church
in Edinboro. Together they built a life grounded in family, faith, and service. In 1987, they
founded Creative Millwork of Ohio—a testament to their hard work, creativity, and
entrepreneurial spirit.

Joy devoted her professional life to teaching high school mathematics, especially geometry.
She taught in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania; at Edgewood High School in North Kingsville,
Ohio; and at Conneaut High School in Conneaut, Ohio, retiring in 1997. She also gave her
time to the Conneaut Band Boosters, serving as president at one time. Generations of
students remember her for her clarity, encouragement, and the confidence she sparked in
those who thought they “just weren’t good at math.”

She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church (now New Leaf Methodist
Church) in Conneaut, Ohio. As part of her life in the church, she actively supported various
church ministries and was a member of United Methodist Women. Joy also valued her
involvement with Habitat for Humanity, the Ohio Education Association and the Edinboro
Historical Society, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service and education.

Joy’s creativity and curiosity flowed into every corner of her life. She was an avid quilter, a
painter, a card maker, and a devoted genealogist. She tended both the living and the stories
of those who came before her, piecing together the threads of family history with the same
care and imagination she brought to her quilts and paintings. While her hands created
beauty, her heart was always open to those around her.

One of the most cherished chapters of Joy’s life unfolded at Wallowa Lake United Methodist
Camp in northeastern Oregon. What began as a trip to Family Camp with her grandchildren
grew into a twenty-five-year connection to a place she came to call her spiritual home. Even
while living in Ohio, she returned for quilt retreats and treasured the friendships and
beauty she found there. Her generosity helped shape the camp through gifts such as Buck’s
Cabin, renovations to the Quad, and contributions to the upper bathhouse. Her family now
continues that legacy with the dedication of Joy Cabin, a place where her spirit of welcome
and joy will live on.

Joy is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her son Mark Estock, her sister G*e, and her
parents. She is survived by her brother Jerry Fuller (Carol) of Tacoma, Washington; her
daughters Rev. Beth Ann Estock (Jeffrey Petrillo) of Portland, Oregon, and Marie Estock (Dj
Merrill) of Topsham, Maine; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Estock of Madison, Ohio. She
leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandchildren—Brian Estock (Brittany), Scott
Estock (Jamie), Matthew Estock (Megan), Christopher Estock, Andrew Estock, Hannah
Petrillo, and Sarah Petrillo (Sanjay Singh)—as well as eight great-grandchildren, two nieces,
and many cousins.

Joy’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, learning, creativity, and service. Her story now
lives on not only in those who loved her, but in the places she cherished—especially the
camp where generations of her family have walked, played, and rested. She will be deeply
missed and forever remembered.

Marlin "Bob" Haas, Sr.

The Marcy family and staff extend their deepest sympathy to his family.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Marlin R. (Bob) Haas Sr., 87, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 15, 1938, in Akron, OH, the son of Marlin C. and Audrey (Conley) Haas. He worked in the waste disposal industry in many capacities his entire life. He started out as a helper, became a driver and then was promoted into management, which eventually brought him to Conneaut Ohio where he consolidated three smaller haulers into one for Waste Mgmt. and ran the office and garage. They eventually closed their Northeastern Ohio operations and moved operations to Erie PA

Once operations were relocated to Erie, he managed the office, transfer station and garage
working 70 to 80 hours a week on salary. He became tired of the long hours and moved into the garage. He was eventually convinced to run the recycling plant in Erie for them until his
retirement.

After a couple years of leisure, Bob put side panels on his pickup truck and started BnB
Disposal hauling trash for a few friends. About five years in, he purchased a U-Haul truck and put a liner in it. He kept growing and finally, with two small rear-enders and several U-Haul trucks, the company grew to well over 2,000 customers providing trash service and cleanup services. Until a couple months ago, he was hands-on running the operation with assistance of his oldest son Marlin R. Haas, Jr., who is now running the family business.

Bob was active in his church serving as maintenance man and director of properties for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Conneaut. He loved going to glass factories, collecting
paperweights, coins, and stamps. He also enjoyed going to auctions and was a beekeeper for many years winning 1st place ribbons for his honey at the Ashtabula County Fair.

Bob met the love of his life Patricia (Schaar) while they were both taking ballroom dance
lessons. He often joked that he only took dance lessons so he could meet pretty girls. They
were married in April 1957 and created many memories together. They enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to places like Las Vegas, Mexico, Canada, Florida, California, and Arizona to name a few. Bob and Pat also ran Pat’s Lakeside Grill at Conneaut Township Park for 20 years. He was known as a very generous man with a heart of gold who often helped people quietly. He loved people and was found at Township Park talking to someone every day for many years. He was a wonderful man, and an idol to his family.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years Patricia (Schaar) Haas whom he loved dearly; his sister Kimberly (Tony) Lancaster; His children Sandy (Ken) Piper, Marlin (Sharon) Haas Jr., Raymond (Kimberly) Haas; grandchildren: Jason (Angie) Haas, Ashley (Mike Schoonover) Ingramm, David (Bobbie Blankenship) Ingramm, Bryan (Kimmy) Ingramm, Brandy (Mike Warren) Haas, Shannon (Josh) Maxey, Joshua (Rachael) Haas, and Dakota (Ciara) Davis, Jamee Ayers, Zachary (Mikayla) Ayers and Nicole Albright; and twenty eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by many friends, loyal customers, and his longest employee and close friend, Roy “Chopper” McCumber, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son William Kenneth Haas, a granddaughter Jaime Drew, great-grandchildren Noah Ingramm and Locke Maxey, and his brother Donald (Alice) Haas.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Marcy
