Timothy "Tim" Cole

The Marcy family and staff extend their deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Timothy Wayne Cole, 63, of Conneaut, crossed the finish line Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, after an apparent heart attack. He was born March 24, 1962, the second — and, he claimed, the best-looking — of Frank Jr. and Patti Cole’s four children.

He was transport QB at University Hospitals-Beachwood, and a tax preparer and instructor for H&R Block in Saybrook.

His true passion was racing. When medical conditions prevented him from continuing to drive his No. 49 stock car, he teamed up with driver William Pinckney to keep building and running cars under the Tim Cole Racing brand. Tim’s happy place was working on cars and trading humorous insults with the other crews — and anyone else in the vicinity — in the pits at Raceway 7, Stateline, Eriez and Marion Center racetracks.

Like his father, Tim also was bitten by the auction sales bug, and frequently was seen at Valentines Auctions, Heaven’s Auctions and Dempsey Auction buying old toys, books, sports memorabilia and whatever else struck his fancy.

Tim often quipped that he could afford either a wife or a racecar, but not both. But his family knew that he would have loved to have been married — he came close a couple of times — and have a passel of kids of his own. He always made sure that his young nieces and nephews were taken care of at Christmas.

He was a 1980 graduate of Conneaut High School, where he played tuba in the band. He had several college degrees, including from Kent State University, where he competed in tennis for the Ashtabula Campus team, and The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute. He attended Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his mother of Conneaut; his siblings, Burton Cole of Falmouth, Kentucky, Daniel (Mary Jane) Cole of Monroe Township and Martha (Randy) Fertig of Conneaut; his racing family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Tim was preceded in death by his father; sister-in-law, Terry Cole; nephew, Joshua Cole; niece, Victoria Schlaich; and numerous other relatives.

Services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at East Conneaut Wesleyan Methodist Church, 315 E. Main Rd. Conneaut, OH 44030, with his “other brother,” the Rev. Michael Nevseta officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon at the church.

Contributions may be made to Tim’s family, envelopes will be available at the church and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Kenneth A. Boggs

Memorial service Saturday, February 21, 2026 12:30, visitation, prior to service from 10:30-12:30.

The Marcy family and staff extend their deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Kenneth A. Boggs, 62, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born October 21, 1963, in Conneaut, the son of Edgar and Wilda (Waid) Boggs.
At just sixteen years old, Ken made a decision to join the United States Navy. That choice led him into a life of service, adventure, and lasting purpose.
He served aboard the USS Belknap, a Sixth Fleet flagship known for both its proud history and resilience. As an Electronics Technician Third Class, Ken endured long days in shipyards, demanding conditions at sea, and the unrelenting rhythm of naval life. Through storms, long deployments, and cramped quarters, he formed bonds and memories that stayed with him long after his service ended.
His Navy career took him overseas, including to Gaeta, Italy, where he lived in nearby Formia. There, amid the rugged beauty of the countryside, he found moments of quiet reflection. One such moment came atop a mountain under a starlit sky, where he paused to consider how far his journey had taken him from his hometown.
During the Gulf War, Ken continued serving as a federal contractor, traveling into the war zone during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm to repair critical voice and data systems. His work carried him across the region, from Riyadh to Bahrain, often under pressure and in unfamiliar conditions, driven by a deep sense of duty and commitment to the mission.
In civilian life, Ken built a career marked by service and community involvement. He became a realtor with Carolina One Realty in 2022 and served as a Councilman for the City of Hanahan. He was a coach for the Summerville Miracle League, a board member for the Family Resource Center for Disabilities and Special Needs, and a longtime civilian contractor for the federal government. He was also a proud member of the Hanahan Exchange Club, the Masonic Lodge of Hanahan, Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151, Conneaut Eagles #408, Conneaut Moose Lodge #472,and most recently the West Springfield VFW #4965 and the Conneaut Red White and Boom Committee.
Family was always at the center of Ken’s life, even through its most difficult chapters. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Kyle and James, whom he loved fiercely and advocated for tirelessly. James and Kyle, who both have special needs, were the heart of Ken’s later years. He worked endlessly to ensure they received the care, opportunities, and stability they deserved.
In 2025, Ken returned to Ohio, drawn home by his roots and his unwavering devotion to his sister, Gina. He stood beside her with love and strength throughout her illness, honoring the bond they shared.
Ken will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to service, and a life defined by movement, purpose, and a refusal to settle for the ordinary.
He is survived by his sons, Kyle and James Boggs, and their mother, Jennifer Boggs, all of Charleston, South Carolina; his nieces, Megan and Sarah DeNunzio; and his nephews, Nicholas and Matthew (Riley Joslin) DeNunzio, all of Conneaut. He is also survived by special family members Jacqueline (Larry Butte) Rose, who was like a sister to him, as well as Sandi (Dan) Rivera and Kirk (Kellie) Giles, who were not only close family but grew up alongside Ken, in addition to many beloved cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his sister, Gina M. DeNunzio, in 2025.
Memorial service will be 12:30 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at 12:30 PM.
Inurnment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH with military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Contributions may be made to his children C/O Sarah DeNunzio, who will place them in a trust for their future. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
