Giving has always been easy to our family, but asking for help, now that’s a different story. Our family contemplated posting on such a public platform, but we now feel that we have run out of options. Michael Litman, a Southwestern Pennsylvania resident, is in need of a kidney donor. Mike was graciously given a second chance at life 8 years ago when he received a kidney from a deceased donor. However, we recently found out that a living donor is his best option. Several of our friends and family members have been tested, but unfortunately none of them are a match. These friends and family members are willing to do a swap. They are willing to donate a kidney to another desperate individual, in hopes of saving 2 lives. Michael’s blood type is O Positive, but all types are encouraged to test.
Michael is a son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to so many people who love him. Help us bring his smile and laughter back. Maybe we can help do the same for one of your loved ones.

You do not have to be in Pittsburgh, PA to be tested. The dedicated team at UPMC will contact you to make all of the arrangements.
