Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, formerly known as Miller Funeral Home, is completing our 80th year of professional family owned service to Connersville and the Whitewater Valley area. The family owned business was founded in January of 1938 by Frank and Josephine Meyer Miller, both of whom were licensed funeral directors and natives of Connersville.
For 11 years, the funeral home was located at 1822 Virginia Avenue. In 1949, John H. Miller joined his father in the practice. On August 30, 1949, they purchased the Greek Revival house on the northeast corner of 17th and Grand Avenue. The house was built in 1902 by Connersville attorney Joseph Little and has remained virtually unchanged from its original construction. In 1970, an addition was added to the north side of the home to provide two spacious chapels for service. Through the years the funeral home has been served by competent staff members who have served as licensed funeral directors, including George F. Jeffries, J. Andrew Kenworthy and Raymond Fries. In 1980, George L. Moster joined the staff, followed by Steve A. Robbins in 1982.
On February 10, 1999, George Moster and Steve Robbins, long time funeral directors, purchased the funeral home from John H. and Patsy Miller, and the family owned business was renamed Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. In recent years, George and Steve have made many changes to the funeral home providing more adequate space and services to the families they serve. Additional parking, new spacious restrooms, and a new chapel that can seat over 200, complete with the most recent audio and visual equipment were added to provide better facilities and service.
