Pollo rang his bell today at the wound clinic! No more sacral wound and one less appointment per week. We are beyond grateful. His wound was the size of your fist and took about 10 months to heal all together. It’s been a long road. Thank you God for healing. 🥰

Today pollo cooked by himself for the first time in almost a year. He was in pain but he did it and it was delicious! I’m so proud of him and how far he has come from months ago when he was in a coma on a ventilator, missing half his skull, fighting for his life.
Everyday is a struggle and some days are better than others. But we thank God everyday for every breath and every opportunity. We know He is faithful in his promises and will see him through to more and more healing ! In Jesus’ name !❤️

For a little update on how Pollo is doing :
He is still pretty much in the same situation as far as not being able to move his legs and being in a lot of pain daily, he is still working on healing his wound that he sustained while in the hospital. Prayers that it heals with in the next few weeks.
He is working with Physical Therapy and hoping to regain some movement if God is willing. until then, we are currently asking for donations to support his need for a chairlift in our home so that he can access the upper level of the house where our showers and bedrooms are. Since coming home from the hospital he has stayed in what used to be our office space downstairs and has been limited to only the downstairs level. We also have been taking him to his mothers house to shower weekly and bed bathing in between. as you could imagine this is a huge inconvenience, but we have held off on purchasing a stair lift or asking for help with one due to the fact that we wanted to wait and see what his healing process would look like after injury, and what he would need. Any donations are extremely appreciated and prayers are needed daily! Thank you so much to everyone for all the kind words, prayers, meals and support thus far! This year has definitely been a rough one but made much better with community like ours 💕

Prayers today please. He’s in more pain than usual. 😭

Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I thought I did at one point and realized I haven’t. Anyhow,

We are home from the hospital as of a bout a week and a half ago.

He’s still being treated for his osteomyelitis and we have a few follow up appointments with urology and wound care etc.

He’s feeling better! Thank you for all of the prayers. Now he’s still in pain the new rehab doc tells us she’s pretty sure it’s nerve pain and I believe it. She gave him a new nerve med and it does provide relief so we will work with that and see what changes need to be made.

In the meantime continued prayers are still so needed that he continues with the relief and can strengthen in therapy and continue to make progress 😊❤️

Answers so far : pollo has Osteomyelitis ( bone infection) in his tail bone from his sacral wound. That explains the fever and high white blood count.
Possible UTI too.

Things we still need answers for:
( you guessed it !… ) the abdominal pain. Where is it coming from / why

How will the high doses of antibiotics affect his kidneys and liver?
How long will it take for his body to respond to antibiotics and how well ?

We also don’t know how long he will be in the hospital for 😫

Please keep praying. We definitely want answers but don’t want to be in the hospital longer than we have to.

That’s all I have for now.

Looks like a hospital visit today 😭 pain won’t stop and he’s developed a fever. Please pray that we get answers

Prayers now please !
We are in the ER in Charlotte again. Pollos liver levels are off and he’s still in pain. So far CT came back normal we are now waiting on ultrasound so we hopefully get clear answers and solutions.
