There is a lot of misinformation out there resulting in common breast cancer myths. During we want to make sure you know the truth behind these common misconceptions.

Check these out and schedule your next appointment by calling 936-539-4004 or logging on to your patient portal. LSFHC works with mobile imaging partners to offer mammograms and diagnostic breast ultrasound services.

💗 Myth: A breast injury can cause breast cancer Injuries to the breast do not cause breast cancer. However, an injury may occasionally draw attention to an abnormality that leads to a diagnosis.

💗 Myth: Breast cancer only affects middle-aged or older women While most cases of breast cancer do occur in middle-aged or older women, a diagnosis can happen at any age.

💗 Myth: Men do not get breast cancer; it affects women only Men also have breast tissue and, though rare, men can get breast cancer, too.

📣 Staff had an exciting and educational tour of the Conroe Noon Lions Club and their vision services. The Club works with local nonprofits and schools with their vision services, including an eyeglass recycling program, vision screenings and assistance with eye exams and glasses. 👓
