Esperanza Birth Doula Services As a Doula & Childbirth Educator, I provide continual emotional, physical, and educational support to mothers who are expecting or experiencing labor.

My name is Lizet and I currently live in the Kansas City Metro with my husband and children. My heart for birth advocacy started with my first pregnancy. I experienced firsthand the overload of information that is thrown at first-time expecting mothers. As women, we have a lot to figure out when we become pregnant. Often, we don’t have the support system to walk us through the journey of birthing.

Something in my heart was awakened when I realized how many women, including myself, were not satisfied with their birth experience. I truly have a calling to take care of birthing women and their partners. I will be your advocate and provide you with the best information so you can make the best decision for you and your baby. As a Doula, the three most important things to me are healthy babies, healthy mothers, and wonderful birth experiences. I will be your advocate, your sister, your caregiver. It would be my pleasure to be part of you birth story. Let’s change the narrative of childbirth from being painful, hard, and impossible to bear, to something sacred and glorious. I believe women were created to give birth and bring life into this world. Let’s be the generation that empowers women to have the birth experience they want and deserve. Hola amigos,

Como muchos de ustedes saben, he estado en el camino para convertirme en partera—sirviendo a familias, apoyando partos y acompañando a las mamás en uno de los momentos más importantes de sus vidas.

Este noviembre asistiré a un entrenamiento especializado en partos con presentación de nalgas y partos de gemelos con Dr. Stu (Reteach Breech Workshop). Este entrenamiento es muy importante porque los partos con presentación de nalgas y de gemelos están siendo cada vez menos una opción para las mujeres en los Estados Unidos.

Yo quiero ayudar a cambiar eso.

Como Doula de parto que habla español, también siento un llamado muy fuerte a servir a familias que muchas veces no tienen acceso a proveedores que entiendan su idioma, su cultura y sus necesidades.

No solo necesitamos más parteras; necesitamos parteras bien preparadas y altamente capacitadas que puedan ofrecer opciones reales.

💛 Supporting Mothers, Expanding Birth Options 💛

Hi friends,

As many of you know, I’ve been on the journey to becoming a midwife—serving families, supporting births, and walking alongside mothers during one of the most important moments of their lives.

This November, I will be attending a specialized breech and twin delivery training with Dr. Stu (Reteach Breech Workshop). This training is incredibly important because breech and twin births are becoming less and less of an option for women in the U.S.

I want to help change that.

As a Spanish-speaking birth worker, I also feel deeply called to serve families who often don’t have access to providers who understand their language, culture, and needs.
We don’t just need more midwives; we need well-trained, highly skilled midwives who can offer real options.

✨ To help offset the cost of this $800 training, I’m hosting a raffle for one of my “Mamita Postpartum Boxes.”

This box is filled with thoughtful, healing essentials for new moms, created with love and intention to support recovery and rest after birth.

2025 was a year full of growth, joy, adventure, and transitions.

This year, I officially launched my Postpartum Mamita Box, recorded my childbirth education video, and received my Childbirth Educator certification. I attended my 100th+ birth and had the honor of serving alongside incredible souls as a birth assistant. I also began Phase 3 of my midwifery journey and started catching babies—something I’ve prayed for and worked toward for so long.

I had the opportunity to travel to Montana to participate in a workshop that sharpened my emergency and clinical skills, where I met some of the most inspiring women serving families across the country. I was also blessed with the opportunity to serve alongside **Zoe’s House Adoption Agency**, supporting three Spanish-speaking mothers through pregnancy and labor.

I closed out the year in the most meaningful way—supporting dear friends as their doula for the birth of their second baby. And this year, I even had returning clients welcome babies with me again. What a beautiful and humbling season.

2025 was also a year of transition—moving states and fully stepping into my calling as a midwife. Saying goodbye to Kansas City is not easy, but I’m looking forward to serving families in Texas. More details coming in 2026.

This new year will be about focusing on my growing family, as we joyfully await our rainbow baby #3 🌈. Thank you to every family who trusted me during their pregnancy and birth journey. You know who you are, and you will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The past few months have been a season of growth and gratitude. Between my apprenticeship with Midwife KC and working towards my Childbirth Education Certification, I've been busy doing what I love most- Supporting families through birth education.

After teaching for over two years, I decided it was time to make it offical. Thanks to Midwife KC, I've hosted three classes focusing on homebirth and pysiological birth, and now I'm proud to say I'm officalically a Certified Childbirth Educator!

So many exciting projects are on the way, and I can't wait to continue empowering families on thier birth journey. 💕
