OPERATION: HURRICANE RELIEF

As many of you know, the western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee regions were left devastated by Hurricane Helene. Second Chance Rehabilitation Ranch, has teamed up with our longtime ally Project Refit, and Devildog Canine to support the relief efforts in these areas. While our government declines to aid our fellow Americans in distress, the burden falls upon us, the American people to come to their rescue.

We are coordinating with other allies already on the ground and are preparing to launch multiple teams of veterans, first responders, and other highly trained personnel to assist in the aid and recovery process. Our teams will be mobilizing November 1st and we need YOUR support!

We understand that many want to do good and support our brothers and sisters in need, but do not know how. There are multiple ways you can support Operation: Hurricane Relief.

1. Volunteer: If you are a veteran, first responder, or highly trained personnel, reach out and join us on the mission. We have multiple teams deploying from across the nation so please give us a call to connect with a team near you.
2. Donate supplies and equipment: We have multiple dropoff locations across the country including: New Jersey, Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Attached is a list of supplies needed by our volunteers and those suffering on the ground. You can drop off your donations by reaching out to your closest point of contact or taking it to the nearest dropoff location.
3. Financial donation: Financial donations will go towards purchasing additional supplies needed by our teams of volunteers, transportation, and equipment needed. Donations can be made through Project Refit, a 501(c)3 organization.

Since September is Su***de Prevention Month, let me share some of my story:

2016 was rock bottom for me. I had four su***de attempts between March and September. All of them should’ve killed me but that’s NOT how my story ends!

I never really wanted to die, I just felt like it was never going to end. PTSD felt like I was dealt a death sentence and things would not get better. I felt I had no purpose and I certainly didn’t know WHO I AM.

I found myself in a jail cell in Cleburne County, AR after getting into a fight with Law Enforcement following my final failed attempt. That was the turning point in my story. You see, the great thing about rock bottom is there’s only one direction to go… UP!

I began blazing a new path, a path of redemption and hope. I spent the next 3 years healing through nature and discovering who I truly was MADE to be. I also realized that my calling to serve wasn’t over, the mission had only shifted.

In September of 2019, I set out and created Second Chance Rehabilitation Ranch to help others who were struggling find their way through the darkness. Over the past 5 years, I have been able to meet thousands of amazing people across the country, save hundreds of veterans, first responders, and even a couple professional athletes along the way, faced down my fears of rejection and self-worth and shared my story boldly to thousands.

We have crafted these “Prevention over Awareness” shirts to help support our mission and serve as a reminder to take action in the fight against su***de loss.

I encourage you to support our mission to end veteran and first responder su***de by rocking our Su***de Prevention shirt!

KEEP FIGHTING THE FIGHT!

Despite the record breaking heat today, we survived our first Veteran First responder Dog Training Group! I know some were unable to join due to the immense heat, but we are grateful to our Veteran that did show up.

Even if it’s only one, every life is worth saving!

If you are a Veteran or first responder in the Peoria area, drop by and join us next Tuesday! We also have our first Bloomington event on Saturday at 8am (and it’s suppose to be a lot cooler!).
