What an awesome visit we had from Cypress Lake Recovery today! Jeff and Cidney are truly amazing. 🙌

The greatest blessing of all—one of their alumni got to be part of the walk-through. He and Cidney hadn’t seen each other since his discharge eight months ago, and today they got to reconnect. 💙

So grateful for the incredible people we get to work with—and even more grateful for the beautiful moments we get to witness with each of these guys. These experiences are everything. 🙏

Brother, from the moment you walked into Azul House, you’ve been an inspiration. You came in tired of the life you were living, but more importantly—you came in ready. Ready for change. Ready for structure. Ready to do whatever it took to find freedom in recovery.

And man, did you ever show up.

We had the honor of witnessing your transformation—watching you lean into the process, experience a spiritual awakening, and truly work on yourself from the inside out. You didn’t just talk the talk—you walked it every single day.

You stepped into a leadership role, helping hold the house together, and we’ll never forget your “drill sergeant” style—precise, direct, and passionate. But more than that, you showed love. You held others accountable while being accountable yourself. You were firm, but fair—and always full of heart.

Watching your growth has been nothing short of powerful. It’s a kind of high that words can’t fully describe. Your presence left a lasting impact on this house, and the fact that you continue to show up for the guys every week says everything about your heart and your commitment.

Thank you, brother, for being a pillar of strength, for being real, and for being willing to show others the way.

Sobriety Spotlight: Johnny S.
Sobriety Date: 12/04/2022

Our guy—Johnny, the man!

Johnny has been a rock since day one. He walked through our doors in February 2023, fresh out of treatment, and was one of the original four who helped lay the foundation of what we’re building today. From day one, Johnny wasn’t just part of the house—he helped us build the house. Brick by brick, principle by principle.

When Johnny came to us, life wasn’t easy. He wasn’t welcome back home, was facing a divorce, and his kids wanted nothing to do with him. But what we saw in him was something powerful—a complete surrender to a 12-step program, an honest commitment to do the work, and a willingness to trust God every step of the way.

And then—we watched a miracle unfold.

We watched a man rebuild. We watched him become someone his kids could be proud of. We saw reconciliation. Restoration. A home full of love and a man full of purpose. Today, Johnny is back under the same roof with his beautiful wife and children, living a life that is healthy, pure, and nothing short of grace.

Johnny, thank you. You’ve not only helped us grow this house, but you’ve helped us grow as men. Your walk, your example, and your heart have impacted each one of us in ways words can’t fully express.

We love you, brother. We’re so proud of the man you’ve become—and even more excited about where God is taking you next.

Bro, your story is a complete miracle.

We remember the very beginning — a man who was tired, broken, and just wanting to live a better life. We watched you surrender fully to the process and commit to working the 12 Steps, and that surrender has transformed your life in ways that continue to inspire all of us.

You became a staple at the Azul House — not just as a resident, but as a leader. You stepped into the role of house manager and became a rock for the new guys walking through our doors. You’ve helped create plans, implement structure, and guide with both your heart and your actions.

Your dedication and love for this house can’t truly be put into words. You’ve held others accountable, helped maintain order, and pushed to make this place stronger — all while walking out your own recovery journey with humility and grace.
