The residents of Carriage Inn Conroe would like to extend a sincere thank you to Officer Nathan Crenshaw of the Conroe Police Department for taking the time to visit our community and lead an informative seminar on public safety, fraud awareness, and common scams.

Officer Crenshaw provided valuable insight and practical tips to help residents recognize suspicious activity and better protect themselves, and we are especially grateful that he brought along a colleague from the scams department to share firsthand experience. Hearing real examples of how these crimes occur—and learning exactly how to respond if targeted—made the presentation even more impactful and easy to understand.

We truly appreciate the dedication of the Conroe Police Department and their commitment to educating and protecting our residents. Opportunities like this help empower our community with knowledge, confidence, and peace of mind.

Thank you again for your time, expertise, and service.

The Carriage Inn Conroe residents had an absolute blast attending The Players Theatre Company production of Rumors—and it’s safe to say the laughter followed us all the way home. This fast-paced comedy was a huge hit, and residents are still buzzing about the incredible performances they witnessed.

Standout moments came from Steve Milo and Bonnie Atkinson as Lenny and Claire Ganz. In the spirit of keeping things spoiler-free, we’ll simply say their performances stole the show—and that’s the only rumor we’re willing to share. Residents were also thrilled to see Gracie Duong and Mark Doreza step outside of musical roles for the first time they’ve seen, and were amazed by just how strong and versatile their performances were.

A special highlight for our group was Dechae Williams’ debut performance with the Players. One resident even commented on how impressively accurate her portrayal of back pain was—proof of just how relatable and authentic her acting felt. Performances by TJ Poulos as a New York politician and Amy Jackson as his over-the-top partner were equally memorable, along with the rest of the talented cast who brought this production to life.

Behind the scenes, director Cameron Collier and stage manager Justine Gray should be incredibly proud of the phenomenal show they’ve put together. We at Carriage Inn Conroe are already looking forward to the next production they bring to the stage.

Rumors runs for two more weekends: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.—and our residents highly recommend catching it while you can.

At Carriage Inn Conroe, community means honoring one another—always. This year, we are beginning a new tradition: an annual Celebration of Life ceremony to remember and honor every resident who passed away in the previous year.

This meaningful gathering gives residents, families, and team members the opportunity to come together, reflect, share memories, and celebrate the lives that helped shape our community. We are grateful for each resident who has called Carriage Inn Conroe home, and we carry their legacy with us as we move forward together. Though they are no longer with us, they will never be forgotten.

When freezing weather kept our pastor from traveling, our Carriage Inn Conroe family still gathered in faith, fellowship, and warmth. Sharing the comfort of being together, residents hosted a beautiful afternoon church service under the guidance of our Chaplin, Ms. Mary H., showing that community shines brightest when we come together.

Later that evening, residents gathered once more to warm their hearts and voices during a meaningful hymn sing led by our Activity Director, Jonathon D. Even on the coldest days, faith, music, and togetherness keep us warm.
