I was sharing this with someone yesterday and thought 💭 maybe everyone would like to know! This is approximately how many calories I burn a day so that means in order to lose weight I need to eat less than this number and if I want to gain I have to eat more than that number! It’s based off heart rate and other factors like height and weight. I do not wear my watch 24/7 but it’s a good estimate 👍

This lady has been consistently improving her health for several years now! She has lost around 30 pounds now and has kept it off. She sees the importance of being healthy and how that affects every aspect of our life! Our mind, body and soul! These past couple months she has really pushed out of her comfort zone and pushed into a real look at her health. The amazing thing is she is willing to make the changes even though they are difficult. Sometimes we need to just go outside and “smell the roses.” I am so proud of her and the changes she has made to be healthy 🙌. Get it girl!

I hate ironing. I have been lifting iron for over 20 years. There were a few years here or there off and back on again. Thankful that I have pushed to continue my workouts even though my food hasn’t always been perfect. Bone density is crucial at this age - my age lol. Evidence shows that lifting iron strengthens our bones so I will continue to do so until I physically can no longer.

What’s for dinner? I try and make meals that work for my husband and I and whichever kids decide to eat with us that day! Monday was pork chops and salad for me - made them some carb rich sides. Tuesday was grilled shrimp and broccoli and cheese for me - they had the French fries. And tonight will be beef tips with cauliflower rice and they kay eat that - lol. No they will get rice. Anyway you don’t always have to make 2 meals when you’re eating healthy just try and make it work for everyone involved. It’s progress - not perfection!

So if you swipe right you will see our before pic. has been with me for about 5 years. She currently is going to school and working 2 jobs all while staying consistent with her improved healthy habits! We only get to see each once a week now and she drives 30 minutes each direction so make that happen. She has maintained her loss and has almost reached her goal! I am so very proud of her. I always share these stories in hopes that it will be relatable with someone. So if this speaks to you- let it- take it in and get up and make one change and be consistent 👍. I always say if you “only” lose 2 pounds a month for a year by the end of the year you will have lost 24 pounds!
