Did you know that our facility is one of the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for patient safety? For the second year in a row, we have received the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, the #1 site Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital. An annual study conducted by Healthgrades found that patients treated in hospitals that received the 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award have a significantly lower chance of experiencing one of the four leading safety indicators than patients treated at non-recipient hospitals:

❗In-hospital falls resulting in fracture (54% less likely)
🔍Collapsed lung due to a procedure or surgery in or around the chest (approximately 55% less likely)
🛏Pressure sores or bed sores acquired in the hospital (approximately 69% less likely)
❌Catheter-related bloodstream infections acquired in the hospital (72% less likely)

Where you’re treated matters, which is why we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to every patient on every visit. For more information on our Healthgrades awards, visit https://bit.ly/44IAWoU

We value the opportunity to visit the Conroe Senior Center to educate and engage the community about the specialized services we provide, including neurological care. Dr. Christian Cajavilca, Director of Neuroendovascular Services, spoke about the warning signs and symptoms of a stroke as well as preventative measures. As a certified comprehensive stroke center facility, we're equipped to handle even the most complex stroke cases with rapid, specialized care 24/7.

This designation means we meet the highest standards in stroke treatment — from advanced imaging to a dedicated stroke team. When it comes to stroke, every second counts, and having this level of care right here in our community can truly save lives. We're proud to serve Conroe and Montgomery County and are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our local seniors and answer their questions. As a proud Texas Ten Step Hospital, we join a select group of facilities across Texas that are committed to supporting breastfeeding and promoting evidence-based maternity care. Currently, only approximately 140 hospitals statewide have earned this distinction from the Texas Department of State Health Services, which is a testament to our dedication to maternal and newborn care.

This recognition means we follow best-practice standards, from helping moms initiate breastfeeding soon after birth to providing ongoing support and education for breastfeeding success. We're honored to support families from day one and beyond. To find a breastfeeding class near you, visit https://bit.ly/413hDEm

Meet Jessica. She’s a cancer survivor and her daughter has Type 1 diabetes. They’re among millions of Americans who are about to face a major increase in health insurance costs.

Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (EPTCs) are currently helping 24 million people – including our patients – afford high-quality healthcare coverage through the insurance Marketplace (https://bit.ly/450SlZ0). Americans who purchase insurance on their own and rely on the tax credit are now facing skyrocketing costs if Congress allows the credit to expire at the end of 2025, putting at risk the health of children like Jessica’s daughter.

“We were living a perfectly normal life, and we suddenly had a child that had a chronic illness,” said Jessica. “We’re not wealthy. Money can get tight…we need Congress to take action now. It’s vital for us.”

You have the power to significantly boost your health and well-being, leading to a higher quality of life. The secret? A consistent preventative care regimen.

The key to preventative healthcare for men is establishing partnership rather than hierarchy, according to Donald R. Niño, MD from HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast . "The model that I use is education,” he explains. “If you can come in and I can see what's going on, I can explain to you what it is you have, why you have it, and what can we do about it. And then we become partners in the treatment. And once the guys are in on it, they're going to do it."

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a condition in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the arms or legs. It’s easy to mistake PAD for other conditions like hip arthritis or spinal stenosis, which means often goes undiagnosed. Many people with PAD don’t experience symptoms at all. That’s why awareness of risk factors – such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and smoking – is crucial for screening.

Understanding the early warning signs is the first step toward timely intervention and better quality of life. In most cases, lifestyle changes, exercise and medications are enough to slow the progression or even reverse the symptoms of PAD, so talk to your doctor if you think you may be at risk. For more information on preventing and treating PAD, visit https://bit.ly/3TrkYsN

In collaboration with the American Heart Association, our larger HCA Healthcare network promotes better heart health through national education efforts and community integration.

Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (EPTCs) are currently helping 24 million people – including our patients – afford high-quality healthcare coverage through the insurance Marketplace (https://bit.ly/4ns3KcB). These tax credits are applied directly to people’s premiums, keeping coverage affordable and making healthcare more accessible. But unless Congress acts soon, these tax credits will expire at the end of 2025.

“When you get sick and you’re not rich, health insurance is absolutely essential. It doesn’t just make life easier, it makes life possible,” said Kenny. “Losing the healthcare tax credit would mean my monthly costs would go through the roof, and I wouldn’t be able to afford my treatments. I need Congress to extend the healthcare tax credit and give people in towns like mine a fighting chance.”

Without EPTCs, health insurance costs will skyrocket. Families may be forced to make heartbreaking choices – between keeping their health coverage or paying for food, rent and childcare. Learn how you can help protect access to care at https://bit.ly/4klag1P

We are proud to be a part of initiatives empowering students with access to the resources, guidance and opportunities to pursue meaningful careers in healthcare. 🏥

We’re proud to announce that the HCA Healthcare Foundation, through its Healthier Tomorrow Fund, will enhance its work with Educate Texas, an initiative of Communities Foundation of Texas, through a new $1 million grant.

This donation builds upon the collaboration resulting from the Foundation’s $1.35 million grant to the organization in 2022 and will continue to focus on increasing student access to programs that enable healthcare careers, including high schools in Texas that offer Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) healthcare career tracks. Through this first grant, Educate Texas supported the expansion of healthcare career pathways across P-TECH campuses - from 20 to 104 schools - enrolling nearly 10,000 high school students in programs designed to prepare them for in-demand healthcare careers.

“We are thrilled to enhance our work with Educate Texas to help empower students with access to the resources, guidance and opportunities to pursue meaningful careers in healthcare,” said Joanne Pulles, vice president of community engagement at HCA Healthcare and president of the HCA Healthcare Foundation. “This ongoing support reflects our commitment to helping develop the healthcare leaders of tomorrow.”

This initiative will build on the success of the past three years and will focus on growing the number of students earning healthcare degrees and credentials and increasing the number of hospital employers, including HCA Healthcare-affiliated hospitals, engaged in meaningful partnerships with school districts across North Texas, Austin, San Antonio and the Houston Gulf Coast region.
