We are huge animal lovers. All animals – small, big, cute, not-so-cute. We love animals and care about them. We stop to pick up animals stranded on the highway. We have carefully peeled a gecko off a glue trap. We took an opossum to wildlife rescue for care from a bite wound and then brought him home to live in our back yard. We believe all animals deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion.
We have lived with animals all of our lives. We have both lived with dogs, cats, hamsters, fancy mice, and (sigh) tarantulas. When we first moved to Austin, we found a mom cat and her one day old kittens. When they were old enough, we met some kind volunteers from a local rescue group who welcomed us to sit with them and find homes for our kittens. We fostered cats and kittens with them for 20 years.
We have experienced some losses with our own pets. Each one is different and heartbreaking in its own way. People often ask if we get used to it. Never! We still miss our dear Harley (photo above) that we lost 12 years ago as much as we do sweet Winston that we lost this past May.
While researching pet cremation for our own pets, we discovered areas that needed some change and we learned about alkaline hydrolysis, a water-based process to cremate pets. It is much more eco-friendly and gentle than traditional cremation. Since the Austin area is pet-friendly and eco-friendly, we immediately knew we had to bring this option to the area. We are passionate about our service and treat you with kindness and your pet with compassion and dignity every step of the way.
We are open books. If you have a question, please feel free to ask. If you have a suggestion, please let us know. We are here for you.
