The day you got your zipper scar. 6 days old. The first time your heart was stopped on purpose and changed, for the better.

A little late posting but we made it home!! Jett is feeling much better, although still not 100%. This was a nasty virus and his cough will linger for a while I’m sure. We took brother to the pediatrician once we got home because he is pretty sick too now but we’re hoping this is as bad as he will get 🙏🏽

We’re so relieved to be home. Thank you to everyone who joined us in prayer.

Jett Jett got to FaceTime with his Bubba and big cousin and we got a smile out of him for the first time since Sunday! He also has had an energy burst and is running around the room like a madman banging on/licking the door 😅
Hopefully this is a good sign & means we are on the mend ❤️

We tried to remove Jetts oxygen and he did not tolerate it. Oxygen support is the only thing keeping us here currently. His cough is pretty rough and we are just reminding ourselves that he has two viruses and he’s doing OK in the face of that.

Snow and ice are expected to hit us in just a couple hours so Dad and I are preparing to be separated and snowed in potentially. It’s impossible to choose between your children. This is our first taste of the problems that come with having a medical baby and a non medical baby at home. Its heartbreaking 💔

We are asking for prayers that Jett’s body will continue to heal and that his oxygen saturations will hold steady as we try to SLOWLY wean him from it. Pray for little brother Benny too as he sounds like he’s getting sick as well.

Our boy is being admitted to children’s due to oxygen requirements.
He woke up with a croup cough last night and has tested positive for coronavirus (not covid) and parainfluenza. He was completely fine yesterday- no symptoms. This happened so fast.

He could use some prayers 🙏🏽

I got a little burnt out with posting last week so this week we dressed up in our hearts and lit a candle for all our Heart Angel friends Gone too soon.
Tomorrow is the last day of CHD awareness week, but heart month continues (and never ends for some of us). We will never stop raising awareness for this disease and all of those who are affected by it. If you get the chance to strike a conversation about it or our Jett Jett, we hope you will act on it. These babies deserve to be talked about, but more so CHD research deserves to be funded as the #1 birth defect in the world.
