Spring Update
Happy Almost Spring!
We are ready for spring here. Snow is fun, it’s beautiful and I enjoy the “hush” that a covering of snow brings. But spring brings warmth and a promise of new growth, new energy.
Amanda is in school full time this semester. Some of her classes are on campus. She continues to use a cane when walking any distance outside of the home but is walking without mobility devices at home. She has come a long way from when she was attempting to stand up on her feet for seconds at a time.
She continues her work with the nonprofit that she founded, Accessibility Across Arkansas. They are getting ready to launch another all-terrain wheelchair, a Trackchair, in another Arkansas state park soon. Be sure to visit the website and sign up for the emails so that you can follow her progress with this program.

I would also recommend that you sign up to follow my Patreon page. You can join as a paid member - this is a way of saying “Thank You” for the time I spend finding relevant articles, studying the content and writing how all of these things are connected. Or you can join as a free member - I realize that money can be tight and I want people to have this information.
The most recent post on my page is a look at how the multiple conditions: ME/CFS, POTS, MCAS, Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, GI Dysautonomia, Hypermobility Disorders - are not only connected in multiple ways, but may be conditions that are actually part of a central, inflammatory condition. That what we call comorbidities are actually individual manifestations of this chronic illness.
Here’s the beginning of the article.
Connecting Dots in Chronic Inflammatory Illnesses
Do you remember doing “dot to dot” pictures in elementary school? The more dots you had, the more your picture would look like a rabbit or a duck, not just a blob.
It’s kind of that way in medicine. The more dots you have, the more clear your picture is of what is going on.
For me, dots include evidence in the medical literature as well as patient history and experiences.
I’m going to share some of my older “dots” and some of my more recent “dots” with you.
