Dr. Afaf Malik is a dedicated and compassionate physician committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She completed her medical degree from Rashid Latif Medical College in 2016 and went on to pursue residency training at Baptist Health, where she successfully completed her program in June 2024. Dr. Malik is passionate about promoting wellness, preventive medicine, and evidence-based clinical practice. With strong clinical skills and a warm, approachable style, she strives to build trusting relationships with every patient she serves. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Malik is actively involved in community outreach and health education. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to take control of their health through knowledge, lifestyle support, and access to high-quality medical care. Dr. Afaf stays current with the latest medical advancements and is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where patients feel supported, informed, and confident in their care.

I’d like you to meet Mrs. Leslie Thomas,NP. She will be working in our office full time starting Dec,1st.2025.

Here is a little bit about her that she wanted to share with you all.

With over 15 years of diverse nursing experience, I have developed a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of patient care across multiple settings. From long-term acute care (LTAC), medical research, home health and hospice, urgent care and walk in family practice, adult med surg, ICU, emergency room, inpatient pediatrics, and mental health services. I have built a career grounded in compassion, clinical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to patient well-being.

Becoming a nurse practitioner has always been my dream and ultimate career goal. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I feel deeply honored to serve the local community, bringing both clinical expertise and a personal passion for helping others. With a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients, I look forward to being able to provide compassionate care to my community.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, who inspire me to achieve both personal and professional growth. We love traveling and love the beach.

Dr. Sheikh will be leaving the clinic as of December 24th, 2025. We have enjoyed working with him and getting to know him, but family comes first and he must leave to be with his family. We will be welcoming a new physician Dr.Afaf to replace him. We will also have a Nurse Practitioner full time, her name is Leslie.

Please be patient with us as we are transitioning to the new physicians.

Again, we wish Dr. Sheikh and his family all the best on this new chapter of life!🙂

After 2 weeks, we will be back open Monday, October 27th at 8:00am.

We will be closed Today, Monday October 13th through October 26th. We will reopen Monday October 27th.

There will be no walk in lab draws during this time.

If you need any refills or have questions for Kathy or Emily they will be in Tuesday October 14th and Thursday October 16th for a couple of hours. They will get to your voicemails and or refills as quickly as they can.

If you have a medical emergency please go to the closest urgent care or Conway Regional.
