April/May 2026 Moon Cast
This New Moon in Aries is strutting around all of the other planets, also in Aries, showing us how to put our feelings and selves first. Unfortunately, that also means all of the other planets are doing the same thing. Aries energy is fiery, independent, and surrounded by a need for full understanding of the Self. When all of the planets are vying to step into the statement, "I AM," you know there's a lot of hot energy out there.
For this Moon Cast, The Hanged One is our big influence. An upside-down, flippity-flopped person who is just hanging out and waiting. My favorite phase for this card is, "moving forward by staying still," which is the direct opposite of all we are feeling with the Aries energies bouncing around. The question here is, how do we find stillness in the fire?
I'll let you all stew on that for a while.
Our Moon Cast breaks down into the following phases:
New Moon in Aries: The Devil. While we are stewing and standing in the fire, we might as well give a high-five to our favorite inner demons. With Aries, that could be as simple as the fight to stand independently and make our own choices. It could also be that we need to simmer down a bit and not be such a controlling jerk.
Waxing Moon: King of Cups. Now that we have given our demons their tasks and roles, we can turn to our own brand of leadership. As we build energy through this moon phase, scoop up and store all of the benevolent actions possible. Help a neighbor, give yourself grace. Let the active energies continue to move through their paths while you sit back (or hang around!) and lead from the heart.
Full Moon: Ace of Cups. As the Universe continues to draw us through these phases, we are given an incredible opportunity for gratitude for our own Purpose and the care and tending we have provided to it. Give yourself a big ol' hug and a smooch.
Waning Moon: The Sun. When we think of sunsets, we typically think of endings. As the sun wanes through its day, it reminds us that we are given time to rest, reset, and start over again. There's nothing wrong with taking time to just breathe, to be, to let go of all of the demands, and just enjoy the moment.
