You May be Saying... My Child Will Grow Out of It... Possibly, but if you at least get an evaluation you will know if there are problems. If there are significant difficulties that your child is having you can receive information and exercises to work on so you can begin to fix the problem even if you decide not to receive continued therapy treatment. Your child will make much faster progress with specific help for their difficulties which will decrease the likelihood of suffering from the problems mentioned above. I Can't Afford Therapy... If your child has AR-Kids or Medicaid coverage there is NO CHARGE for a therapy evaluation or treatment. Therapy 4 Kids is also in network with Blue Cross and Health Advantage. If you have a different type of coverage check out our Rates page on our website to see our rates. If your child does not have these types of insurance coverage we urge you to at least get an evaluation done or come in for a consultation to see how your child is performing and to get some “homework” so you can begin to help your child succeed. A formal evaluation costs less than a few nights out on the town for a dinner and movie. The benefit your child will receive from the evaluation and consultation will far surpass the benefit of the dinner and movie. You can also join one of our group classes to decrease the cost of therapy. My Child Does Not Like to Go With Strangers... In our clinics we have seen what is called “separation anxiety” many times. This actually can be a healthy thing and can indicate a strong healthy relationship between parent and child. Parents are welcome to accompany their child to each therapy session and sit in, watch and learn what the therapist is working on. This is often how the initial evaluation is performed, with mom/dad sitting in the session with the child. Our therapists would never want you to feel uncomfortable and we have an “open door” policy so you can feel free and see what is going on in therapy at any time. We also use closed circuit TV so you can monitor activity from the waiting room. I Don't Have Time... The earlier you address your child’s difficulties the faster and easier they are corrected. Plus, you can avoid or address the problems with your child’s emotional and school difficulties. The best and fastest results are achieved when your child receives one on one therapy 2-3 times per week for 30-45 minutes each session. We can also treat in your child’s pre-school or daycare.
