Summertime means travel for many of our patients. Here we are only seven days into 2025, and its already time to talk about our inclement weather policy. If the roads look like the photograph, or anything close to that, we will be closed. It is not worth the risk to our patients or our staff to travel or even to walk across our sometimes slick parking lot. If the roads are questionable, or if schools are closed in the area, please call our office to verify whether we are open. If you call and get our answer machine, it usually means that we are closed. We will call you back to reschedule your appointment when we are in the office. In the meantime, be safe, and enjoy the winter weather if you are into such things. For everyone else, a positive thought - Spring arrives on Thursday March 20th!

Now that the "back to school rush" is over, and crowds are not as much of an issue, some are taking advantage of the late summer to visit our National Parks. All of these parks, such as the Grand Canyon south rim, are truly national treasures, and a few even have unique ways to get there. If vacation or other activities have caused you to postpone scheduling an appointment for a cleaning or dental treatment, give our office a call at 501-329-9060. We can schedule your appointment, or if you need a particular day or time that is not currently available, we will put you on our cancellation call list. Our expert staff takes pride in "making it happen" in terms of accommodating your schedule needs. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the summer!

Summer is almost here, and with it a chance for kids to relax from school and perhaps a chance for a vacation. One of our weekends recently was spent hiking in the Texas Hill Country while photographing the "wildlife" - in this case a Giant Swallowtail butterfly. Summertime is also the time to get caught up with other activities such as an overdue dental cleaning and examination. Our office is open Tuesday-Friday most weeks, with an occasional Monday added for flexibility. Give us a call to schedule an appointment and beat the "back to school" rush which will be coming all too soon. 501-329-9060

Unfortunately (if you share our dislike for winter weather) its time for a reminder about our inclement weather policy. In the event of snowy or icy weather, please be sure to call before coming for your appointment, to be sure that our office is open. If you get a recording, please leave a message and we will return your call to either confirm your appointment or reschedule you in the event that we are closed. If you feel that the roads in your area are unsafe, we do not want you to risk traveling and we will be glad to reschedule you for another time.

Most of our patients also receive text message reminders of appointments. These text messages are automated, and the computer, sitting in a toasty warm office somewhere, has no clue about our local weather or road conditions. During winter conditions please DO NOT rely on these automated text messages - our telephone call or answer machine message supersedes the text messages. We will hope that the forecast weather conditions are wrong, but in any event, be careful and stay safe.

Spring has finally arrived, according to the calendar, but we are still waiting on the weather forecast to cooperate. If the challenges of the last couple of years have gotten you behind on your dental care, we can help. We have added some additional days for our hygienists to open up more appointment times. If you are overdue for a dental cleaning and exam, give us a call at (501) 329-9060 and we will help get you back on schedule. In the meantime, enjoy the Springtime, even if it does mean an extra dose of pollen for everyone.
