Something to think about… 💭

You wouldn’t hand out your Medicare ID or bank info to strangers on the street — so why do it with random callers?

If someone calls about Medicare and you didn’t give them permission, they’re already breaking the rules. Just hang up.

Protect your info like you would your wallet.

🚨 Medicare Scam Alert 🚨

We’re hearing about scam calls and texts claiming you need to “complete your enrollment” or “renew your coverage.” These are not legitimate — they’re attempts to steal your personal information.

✅ Here’s what to remember:

Never click on links or share your Medicare number with someone you don’t know.

The only time you may receive a texted link or email is if you are actively working with a trusted, licensed agent (like our team here at Arkansas Medicare Resource Center) who is helping you with your Medicare plan.

If you’re ever unsure, call us first at 📞 501-458-9803 — we’re happy to help you verify anything before you respond.

Let's talk more about a guarantee issue onto a Medicare Supplement if your Medicare Advantage plan is leaving.

🕒 If Your Medicare Plan Is Leaving:
Don’t worry — you’ll have extra time to choose a new plan. When a Medicare Advantage plan ends its contract, you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) that lets you switch to another Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare.

💡 If you choose to go back to Original Medicare, you’ll also have a Guaranteed Issue Right to enroll in a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan — no health questions or underwriting required — and you can pick up a standalone Prescription Drug Plan (Part D).

This means you won’t lose coverage and have options to stay protected without any gaps.

❌ Some Medicare Plans Are Leaving Arkansas - Could Yours Be One of Them? ❌

Changes can be made from October 15 - December 7th.

📬 By now, you should’ve received your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter.
👉 Open it right away — it tells you if your plan is staying, changing, or ending for 2026.

⚠️ If your plan is ending and you don’t make a change, you’ll go back to Original Medicare on January 1st — with no drug coverage.

✔️ If you’re already a client of Arkansas Medicare Resource Center, we are currently reaching out to schedule your yearly review.
✔️ Not a client yet? Don’t wait! If you missed your letter or aren’t sure what it means, we can walk you through your options.

🌟 The good news? While some plans are leaving, others are expanding across Arkansas — giving you more choices than ever before for 2026. You will also have a Special Election to be guaranteed issued a Medicare supplement with no underwriting, if you choose to go back to Original Medicare.

Book your appointment here:

🚨 BREAKING: NEA Baptist will be out of network for UnitedHealthcare patients beginning Nov. 15, 2025, after contract negotiations failed to reach a new agreement.

The change affects UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored and Medicare Advantage plans, meaning patients could face higher costs for non-emergency care.

👉 VA, Medicaid, and Medicare Supplemental plans are not affected, and emergency services will remain covered at in-network rates.

In a statement to NEA Report, NEA Baptist said UnitedHealthcare "does not match our urgency or desire to find a resolution.”

🚨 Heads Up, Friends! A New Medicare Bill Could Limit Your Choices 🚨

A proposed law in Washington, D.C. would automatically enroll Medicare-eligible individuals into a Medicare Advantage plan—with no agent, no guidance, and no discussion about whether it's the right fit for YOU. You’d have to actively opt out if you want something else… and once enrolled, you could be locked in for three full years.

💬 Let’s be clear: Medicare Advantage plans can be a great option for many—but only when it’s your informed decision.
The problem here is the lack of personal choice and support.
---
👂 Here’s why this bill is concerning:

❌ You could be automatically enrolled into a plan that doesn’t include your doctors or preferred hospitals.

❌ You may lose the chance to compare plans that cover your prescriptions more affordably.

❌ You wouldn’t have someone like me—an independent agent who works for YOU, not the insurance companies—there to walk you through your options.
---
🤝 That’s why independent agents matter.

We sit down with you.
We look at all your options—Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D—and help you find the best plan for your unique needs.
We explain the pros and cons in plain English.
And we’re still here for you after you enroll.
---
🗣️ Here’s what you can do:

📞 Contact our Arkansas representatives and ask them to oppose forced automatic enrollment into Medicare Advantage plans.

Tell them:

> “I believe in freedom of choice when it comes to healthcare. Automatic enrollment removes that freedom. Please protect seniors and support access to independent guidance—not default enrollment.”

👉 Reach out to:

Senator John Boozman: (202) 224-4843

Senator Tom Cotton: (202) 224-2353

Rep. French Hill: (202) 225-2506

If you’re turning 65 or helping a loved one navigate Medicare, don’t go it alone—and don’t let D.C. make decisions for you.
📍 We’re here in Conway, AR, and we care deeply about helping people make informed choices that actually fit their needs.
