CPAC: Conway Psychological Assessment Center

CPAC: Conway Psychological Assessment Center A family-friendly private mental health clinic that offers psychological and psycho-educational assessment and counseling to children, teens and adults.

We are a client-centered, family-friendly private mental health clinic! We value professionalism, confidentiality, and support for a wide-range of concerns. Our clients well-being is our top priority. Owner, Dr. Kim Dielmann, has a passion for assessing and counseling people of all ages. She was previously a professor at the University of Central AR. While Dr. Dielmann loved teaching, she found that her passion aligned better serving clients one-on-one. Advocating for individuals in need is what drives her and her team to do pour their heart into CPAC. CPAC services include professional psychological and psycho-educational assessment, counseling, and supportive services to children, adolescents, and adults. We also conduct pre-employment psychological evaluations for law enforcement and fitness-for-duty assessments for police agencies. Our heart behind these services is to promote positive orientation, relief of excess stress, and growth toward more integrated and independent levels of functioning. Our staff utilizes a variety of individual family and group treatment modalities that are provided by trained, licensed professionals. Services can be conducted in English and Spanish.

When a young person is overwhelmed, “calm down” feels like the obvious thing to say — but it’s something a dysregulated brain simply can’t do on command.

In that moment, their body is in threat mode: heart racing, breath shallow, thinking brain offline. Until their nervous system feels safe again, calm isn’t a choice — it’s a state they have to be guided back into.

This visual explains the brain–body loop behind big feelings, and why co-regulation and connection work so much better than pressure or reasoning.

If you’re navigating this at home or in the classroom, our The Child Brain Explained Toolkit gives you step-by-step support to help a child return to calm.

🇺🇸June is recognized as Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. As Veterans, educating ourselves and others on symptoms of PTSD & TBI can make all the difference in a Veterans life. Battling PTSD and, or, TBI is a daily uphill battle. Education on the matter is like jamming your magazines before going on patrol.
