❗️We have seen a recent increase in overdose deaths in Horry County, and we want you to know that we are here for you. We can provide free Naloxone along with information on how to use it safely.

Please remember that free Naloxone is available to any community member, as well as family members and friends. Naloxone cannot be administered to yourself, which is why it’s so important that the people around you know how to use it and where it is kept in your home.

Having Naloxone on hand and making sure others know how to administer it can save a life. ❤

When you have naloxone nearby, reversing an opioid overdose is as easy as 1-2-3. Follow these three steps to administer naloxone and always call 911 if you suspect someone is experiencing an overdose.
1️⃣ Remove naloxone from its packaging.
2️⃣ Hold the device with two fingers around the nozzle and your thumb on the plunger.
3️⃣ Place in their nostril and push the plunger up to administer.

Reminder-you cannot administer naloxone to yourself. These steps are for encountering someone else who you suspect has overdosed on opioids.
