Meet Tanya Johnson-Dix- Front Office Administrative Assistant
Tanya is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, but she now resides in Conway. She is a 1998 graduate of Conway High School. She obtained an associate degree from Miller-Motte Technical College. Tanya has been married to Quenton Dix for twenty-three years. She has three children, Tatyana who is twenty-four, TaLiyah who is twenty-one and Quenton Jr. who is fourteen. She is a Glam Ma to three grandsons, Jahquise who is four, Ky’Aire who is two and Cameron who is one. Tanya is the youngest of her siblings. Tanya has been employed at Shoreline for four years. Her job entails managing referrals for DJJ, DSS, PPPS, PTI and court, medical records, faxing, HIV testing, peer audits and other clerical duties. Tanya says she loves her job and the overall difference SBHS makes on clients’ lives. An item on Tanya’s bucket list is to travel on an African safari. Something you may not know about Tanya is she is very active in church with young people and that she is very, very spoiled.

Meet Chandler Harmon- Laboratory Coordinator
Chandler was born and raised in Myrtle Beach and currently resides in Murrells Inlet. She attended Coker College where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. After graduation, she was accepted into the McLeod School of Technology in Florence where she completed her clinical training and passed her boards to earn her MLS (ASCP) certification. Chandler has an incredibly supportive partner, Forest, and she enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends. After eight years of working in hospital laboratories, Chandler says she never imagined the day she would help build a lab from the ground up. She says being trusted with that responsibility at Shoreline has been one of the most fulfilling milestones of her career. Her role as Lab Coordinator includes overseeing daily toxicology testing, instrument maintenance, maintaining CLIA compliance, proper documentation and safety standards to providers with reliable lab results. Chandler loves weight training, and one thing on her bucket list is to do a pull-up. She hopes 2026 will finally be the year she will get her first pull-up. Something you may not know about Chandler is outside of work she has a small creative hobby called Southern Plume, where she designs and sells custom duck feather accessories for hats.

This weekend, our AET Coordinator attended the Sea Haven Youth Walk, and it was a great experience! He was joined by one of our Youth Advisory Board members, and we love seeing their enthusiasm and willingness to volunteer their time to help others.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PILOT PROGRAM 🌱

Horry County Behavioral Services, in partnership with Horry County Parks and Recreation, is proud to announce the Ready for Life Youth Development Program.

This eight-week, hands-on program is designed for youth ages 13-15 and focuses on building practical, real-world knowledge and life skills to support a successful transition into young adulthood.

Each session will feature engaging presentations from County departments and community partners, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Horry County Sheriff's Office, Shoreline Behavioral Health, and United Way of Horry County.

Sessions will be held at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m., beginning March 17, 2026, and running through May 12, 2026.

Space is limited. Registration is available through the CivicRec portal at secure.rec1.com/SC/horry-county-sc/catalog by March 11, 2026.
