Fellow OT practitioners, please review the linked article on the AOTA page and share your thoughts. As a Home Health Assessing Clinician with the largest home health company in the nation, I'm unable to perform Start of Cares for unknown reasons and must rely on my colleagues for work opportunities.

Home health occupational therapy offers the optimal setting for holistic client care, with the most opportunity for assessment and intervention in the client's immediate environment.

However, my experience shows that multiple barriers exist for home health OTs to access clients, and these obstacles seem to be increasing.

AOTA analyzes the proposed CY 2025 Home Health rule and how it will impact OT practitioners.
