Founded on March 8, 2016 by Mike Matos and the Matos family, the dream of Vilonia Funeral Home in Vilonia, Arkansas became a reality. Vilonia Funeral Home became the first funeral home to open their doors to serve the city of Vilonia, Arkansas. Since that time, the funeral home has provided a complete range of burial and cremation options to the residents of Faulkner County and their services have extended to surrounding cities of Jacksonville, North Little Rock, Beebe, and Searcy. To this day, they remain the only funeral home in the Vilonia area.

The professional staff at Vilonia Funeral Home strives to provide funeral and cremation services with the utmost dignity, respect, and professionalism. They believe that every family should be served as it was their own family. Mike Matos, one of the the family owners and funeral director at the funeral home says, “In the time of need, we want those that have to call upon our services to feel like they are calling an extended family member, not a business.” Mike further explains that he feels that it is only possible by providing the best service, and personal detail to each family as he would his own. “There was a time, if you needed a funeral director, if necessary, they would come out to the house to make all the funeral arrangements. I am happy to say that we still do that here at Vilonia Funeral Home.”

The funeral home offers many firsts in the area, such as, an urn carrier, interchangeable casket interiors, funeral financing, in home arrangements, and customized services for each family. Mike says, “Our main focus is to plan the service the family wants, not something that is cookie cutter and starchy. We want to put the family in the driver seat, and let them do the planning. We are just here to facilitate, and coach them along the way.” Mike further states, “We are here to do the behind the scenes stuff, and the labor, but ultimately, the family is in charge.”
