Life has been lifing lately…sad news and shockers to say the least and it seems I haven’t had a minute to just be. So I’m taking this moment to reflect on the amazing time I had two weeks ago at the Georgia Parent Support Network, Inc 2025 Continuing Education Conference for CPS-P’s and CPS-Y’s.
I had the opportunity to present on Burnout and Boundaries:Keeping the Fire Burning Without Getting Burned which is a much needed topic for mental/behavioral health professionals, other professionals. and the world at large because things have been heavy lately.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I got to attend excellent presentations, enjoy delicous food & desserts, vibe to good music played by the DJ, and laugh and talk with my peers.
I was blowed away by our guest speaker Young Dro. His story was so powerful!!! He talked about what he went through with his mental health and how he struggled with drug addiction. His recovery story is even more powerful!!! I’m so glad he’s encouraging black men to seek the help they need and to stop self medicating and suffering in silence.
Dr. Kisha Whitfield you are the best event/party planner, you did that!!! We had a time!!!🎉🎉🎉
