Yes we are open regular hours tomorrow 😄

Rockdale County Public Schools will resume normal operations tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Temperatures will remain very cold tomorrow so please be sure to bundle up with coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. Our students and staff are doing a great job with Synchronous Virtual Learning today and we look forward to seeing everyone in-person tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. I hope this message finds you well and warm in your homes. According to DOT and the Rockdale County school system, we are not going to be open tomorrow due to the weather. This is to ensure the safety of our staff and our clients. DOT is stating that the roads will have black ice and hazardous traveling conditions. We still have another storm coming in this afternoon. Y’all please be weather aware. I will keep y’all posted in regards to Tuesday and whether we will be open or not.

RCPS will have Synchronous Virtual Learning on Monday, January 26, 2026. Students will have live, online class instruction with their teachers by logging in to Teams meetings using their school-issued laptops/devices. Staff will work remotely. Schools will provide more information to students and families about Synchronous Virtual Learning, and you can visit https://www.rockdaleschools.org/families/independent-learning-protocol

This change from normal operations aligns with the Governor’s decision today for all state employees to work remotely on Monday due to the potential for hazardous road conditions coupled with extreme cold temperatures. Please contact your school with any questions or concerns.
