Honey Creek Woodlands is a memorial nature preserve and green burial in Conyers, Georgia located among the Monastery of the Holy Spirit's 2,300 acres and adjacent to the 40,000 acre Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

Today, Father Francis Michael and the Monastery of the Holy Spirit hosted its annual butterfly count. Every year, butterfly enthusiasts come and admire the beauty of the property, as well as the multiple plants that draw all different species of butterfly that call Honey Creek Woodlands home for the season. Today, we counted this beautiful Eastern Tiger Swallowtail in the Meadow. We are blessed to witness these beautiful creations made from God's hands, this day and many.

There are so many things that make Honey Creek Woodlands unique and special. Most importantly is the feeling of the Holy Spirit that moves through the trees, sings through the birds and flows in the current of the water as you cross the Bridge to Grace. Affectionately known as Dumbo, this deer brings a sense of comfort to families when they are here. He attends services and he watches over those placed within our care. Created by God, he too is an important part of what makes Honey Creek Woodlands a small piece of heaven on earth. We are grateful you trust all of us to care for your loved ones.

As spring turns to summer, the emergence of babies can be seen in HCW. All of nature has begun anew so please be aware of their presence as you enter our grounds. On your next visit, you may catch a glimpse of this beautiful cycle of life in nature.

Happy Father's Day! No services or tours Saturday 6/14 and Sunday 6/15 due to increase in visitors. Gates open 9am (last cart 4:30) and close at 5pm. All carts are first come, first serve and employees will run shuttle service as needed.

Saturday and Sunday, 6/13 and 6/14, will be observance of Father's Day. There will be no tours or services on these days. We expect many visitors so shuttles will be used as needed.

An amazing moment captured of a snapping turtle laying her eggs at the edge of Grace Bridge. The mix of emotions we feel when losing a loved one is sometimes eased by nature's way of showing life does go on. We must find the way to carry our loved ones in our hearts, in our gestures of love to one another and in our ability to live life to its fullest. This is how we can honor their life with ours.
