**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**
Our office and main parking area will be closed on Wed Oct. 1st and Thurs Oct. 2nd due to paving project. Bathrooms will not be accessible. Bathrooms at Monastery of the Holy Spirit, located across the street, will be accessible if needed prior/after your visit. Golf carts and parking along main road near the golf cart entrance to burial preserve will be available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

There are many ways to make a service at HCW special and music is one of them. We have seen many types of musical accompaniment. Here is one of our often requested bagpipers, Tom Crawford, warming up for a service. Please ask one of our stewards for information on how music can be used in a service, whether referred or family lead.

We could learn a valuable lesson from this picture of Sweet Auburn Clematis gently climbing a Cedar. It shows the power of living together in harmony and enriching the lives of others, as well as portraying great beauty. Everyone loves Rachel. She is HCW (unofficial but essential!) emotional support house kitty. She greets and loves on everyone who visits, attends services or sits down to offer a lap to purr in. She is grateful for those who offer donations when visiting, as it keeps her treats plentiful! She is definitely one of many critter creations at HCW we are very thankful for 💓.

Today, Father Francis Michael and the Monastery of the Holy Spirit hosted its annual butterfly count. Every year, butterfly enthusiasts come and admire the beauty of the property, as well as the multiple plants that draw all different species of butterfly that call Honey Creek Woodlands home for the season. Today, we counted this beautiful Eastern Tiger Swallowtail in the Meadow. We are blessed to witness these beautiful creations made from God's hands, this day and many.

There are so many things that make Honey Creek Woodlands unique and special. Most importantly is the feeling of the Holy Spirit that moves through the trees, sings through the birds and flows in the current of the water as you cross the Bridge to Grace. Affectionately known as Dumbo, this deer brings a sense of comfort to families when they are here. He attends services and he watches over those placed within our care. Created by God, he too is an important part of what makes Honey Creek Woodlands a small piece of heaven on earth. We are grateful you trust all of us to care for your loved ones.
