While seat belts offer protection, they can't secure your head and neck, making them vulnerable during a crash.

Here are five common brain injuries that can occur:

🧠 Concussion: A common type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a sudden impact. Symptoms can include dizziness, confusion, and loss of consciousness.

🧠 Contusion: A bruise on the brain that can be severe and may require surgery. Symptoms might include difficulties in speech and memory.

🧠 Pe*******on: When an object penetrates the brain, often requiring careful medical attention. If there’s bleeding, do not remove the object.

🧠 Hemorrhage: Internal bleeding that may occur around or within the brain, presenting symptoms like headaches and loss of consciousness.

🧠 Hematoma: A collection of blood outside blood vessels that can create pressure in the skull, potentially leading to loss of consciousness and brain damage.

Watch for Symptoms: After an accident, be alert for headaches, confusion, nausea, or any severe signs like vomiting and loss of consciousness.

Last month, our team came together to support the Atlanta Community Food Bank, giving back to the community that supports us daily.

Over 25 of our dedicated team members volunteered their time, rolling up their sleeves to fight food insecurity in our city.

Together, we processed and packed an incredible 4,721 pounds of food, providing an estimated 3,934 meals for individuals and families in the Atlanta area.

It was a truly inspiring and humbling experience to contribute to such important work. The Atlanta Community Food Bank plays a vital role in ensuring our neighbors have access to the food they need, and we were honored to support their mission.
