A lot of people stay away from yoga because they “aren’t flexible enough” or don’t want to be in a class. Taylor’s work is the opposite of that.

Private therapeutic yoga meets you exactly where you are. Sessions are built around your body, your nervous system, and your goals (easing chronic tension, recovering from injury, sleeping better, or simply learning how to move with more ease).

This is gentle, thoughtful movement paired with breath and awareness, so your body can shift out of fight-or-flight and into a state where real healing can happen.

If you’ve ever thought, “Yoga isn’t for me,” this might be the kind you’ve been waiting for.

So much of what women are told to accept about their cycles isn’t actually normal... it's just common.

Heavy pain, extreme mood swings, crushing fatigue, and feeling like your life revolves around your period are signals. They’re your body asking for support, not something you’re meant to endure every month.

When hormones, blood sugar, stress, sleep, and gut health are working together, your cycle tends to become quieter, steadier, and far less disruptive. That’s what we aim for (not perfection, just balance).

If you’re ready to better understand your cycle and what your body is trying to tell you, you can book with Tera at Bee Balanced Health & Wellness through the link in our bio. She works with you to address root causes, not just symptoms.

So many people in Cookeville are doing everything they’re told to do and still not feeling well.

They’ve tried appointments that felt rushed. Answers that didn’t quite explain what was happening in their body. Plans that never fully addressed why things felt off in the first place.

It can be discouraging to keep searching for support and not know where to turn next.

A holistic collective matters because healing rarely happens in isolation. It happens when care feels connected. When practitioners communicate. When someone takes the time to listen, ask better questions, and look at the whole picture.

The Wild Grove was created for people who want support that feels thoughtful and grounded. A place where care is collaborative, not fragmented. Where you don’t have to have all the right words to be taken seriously.

You don’t need to navigate your health alone. Community changes how healing feels.

Many families come to Hawthorne Therapy after being told not to worry yet.

That their child will grow out of mouth breathing.
That snoring is normal.
That speech delays will resolve on their own.

And sometimes, that waiting leaves families feeling unsure, exhausted, and unheard.

Maesa’s work is rooted in understanding how oral structures, breathing, and communication are deeply connected. Myofunctional therapy allows her to look beneath the surface and support the systems that influence speech, sleep, and overall quality of life.

This care is thoughtful and specialized. It honors how the body works as a whole, and it meets clients exactly where they are.

When communication becomes easier and breathing feels more natural, daily life shifts in meaningful ways. That is the heart of this work.

Hawthorne Therapy is proud to be part of The Wild Grove, offering collaborative, root-cause support for individuals and families in our community.

Every vision starts with a spark — and this one started with Shandi.

If you’ve been around The Wild Grove at all, you know this space exists because she believed our town needed somewhere people could actually heal… not rush, not mask symptoms, but slow down and feel supported.

Watching her bring this from an idea → to renovation days → to a real, lived-in wellness space has been so inspiring.
So here’s to the spark that started it — and everything growing from it. ✨

There’s a quiet, intentional room available at The Wild Grove, and we’re being very thoughtful about who it’s meant for.

This space was created for practitioners who value nervous system support, whole-body care, and work that goes deeper than surface-level fixes. It’s calm, professional, and welcoming without feeling clinical or high-volume.

It’s a good fit for bodywork, somatic therapy, acupuncture, myofascial release, reflexology, pelvic floor therapy, or other holistic modalities that need a grounded, peaceful environment to truly do their work.

Aside from the room itself, the culture is what makes this space so special. Collaboration over competition. Built-in referrals from aligned practitioners. A shared commitment to thoughtful, root-cause care.

If you’ve been looking for a space that feels supportive, intentional, and aligned with how you actually want to serve clients, this might be worth a conversation.

Reach out with a brief intro about your practice, your credentials, and what you’re looking for in a space. We’re happy to talk through fit. 🤍

Neck and shoulder tension often returns because the body is responding exactly as it was trained to.

When stress becomes familiar, the muscles that guard your head, spine, and breath stay engaged, even in moments meant for rest. This isn’t a failure of stretching, posture, or willpower. It’s a nervous system doing its job.

Massage works most effectively when it supports regulation, not just release. By calming the system and restoring circulation, the body is given permission to soften, and to remember a different baseline.

Relief is important.
Consistency is what changes patterns.

If your body keeps asking for attention in the same places, it’s usually asking to be listened to more deeply.

Yoga can be a place to simply arrive as you are. In your body. In your breath. In whatever season you’re currently in.

In private sessions, everything is guided by what you need that day. Movement might be slow and grounding, or it might be minimal. Sometimes the work happens through breath, presence, or rest. There’s no pressure to get it right and nothing to prove.

If yoga has ever felt intimidating, confusing, or like something you weren’t “built for,” this space is intentionally different. You’re not expected to show up calm, flexible, or confident. You’re just invited to show up.

If this feels like something your body or nervous system has been asking for, feel free to reach out (link in bio) to learn more about private sessions with Taylor right here at The Wild Grove.

Feeling bloated, puffy, or low on energy even when you’re eating well, staying hydrated, and moving your body?

Many people carry subtle fluid buildup, tension, and fatigue without realizing how much the lymphatic system plays a role. When lymph flow slows, the body can feel heavy, inflamed, or stuck in a low-energy state.

Lauren at Lymph & Latitude offers gentle, intentional lymphatic support designed to help the body release stagnation and restore balance. Her work supports reduced swelling and puffiness, improved circulation and immune function, and a greater sense of overall vitality.

Sessions are slow, thoughtful, and guided by what your body is communicating. Over time, this kind of support can help you feel lighter, clearer, and more energized from the inside out.

If you’re curious about lymphatic care and how it may support your wellness goals, connect with Lauren at Lymph & Latitude and book a session.

Healing doesn’t have to be loud or complicated.

At The Wild Grove, we believe wellness happens when the body is supported as a whole. Not just symptoms. Not just quick fixes. The nervous system, digestion, hormones, emotions, movement, rest, and daily rhythms all matter because they’re all connected.

Functional and holistic wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some people, it starts with slowing down and learning how to listen to their body again. For others, it looks like rebuilding trust with food, movement, or their own intuition. Most of the time, real change comes from small, consistent shifts that add up over time.

This is a space built on curiosity, not perfection. Care that meets you where you are. Practitioners who see you as a whole person, not a checklist.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply ready for a different approach to wellness, this space was created for you. You’re welcome here exactly as you are.

Even if there isn’t a visible tongue tie, or if your child “just snores sometimes,” these issues can affect speech development, sleep quality, and overall participation in everyday life.

Maesa Chaffin at Hawthorne Therapy specializes in speech, language, and myofunctional therapy, helping children and adults address the root causes of these challenges. From tongue ties to orofacial myofunctional disorders, she supports clients in improving speech clarity, breathing, sleep, and confidence.

Many families assume speech therapy is only for correcting “R” sounds or stutters, or that mouth breathing and snoring will resolve on their own. In reality, early intervention and targeted myofunctional therapy can create lasting improvements — for communication, health, and quality of life.

✨ Services are available in English and Spanish, with family discounts for myofunctional therapy.
