How awesome! Apraxia Awareness Day has officially been proclaimed in Cookeville, and we’re proud to have incredible SLPs on our team who support kids with Childhood Apraxia of Speech every day. Their work changes lives, and we celebrate the strength of these amazing children and their families today and always!

Apraxia Awareness Day is May 14!

It was an honor to officially declared May 14, 2025, to be Apraxia Awareness Day in the City of Cookeville!

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a rare and challenging neurological speech disorder that affects 1 in 1,000 children, making it difficult for them to learn to speak. Raising awareness is critical to ensuring these children receive the early, intensive therapy they need to find their voices—and their futures.

We honor the courage, perseverance, and strength of children with apraxia, as well as their families and the dedicated professionals who support them every step of the way.

Join us in spreading awareness and supporting these incredible kids.
