We really love our job, and have some wonderful patients! One of our patients spent what she called her ‘boring recovery period’ knitting. And she made us all super cute toboggans! Thank you for letting us care for you and your loved ones.

THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL
First round of supplies delivered! We landed at Rutherford County Airport, 20 miles away from Asheville (they closed Asheville part of the day today because of presidential visits). They had a hangar set up and volunteer crews unloading planes and loading up trucks to deliver to the local distribution stations/shelters. Many of the volunteers still didn’t have electricity at home. They had a commercial generator running the office building. They were so appreciative!!! While we were there at least 5 other airplanes landed delivering goods, and we jumped in and helped unload. Next round is going to Elizabethton, TN which is the closest airport to Unicoi Co/Erwin which flooded on the Tennessee side.

RELIEF SUPPLIES!!! SHORT NOTICE

We are taking a load of supplies to Asheville, NC airport tomorrow morning. The folks there at the airport are helping coordinate delivery to the shelters there. One of the NC state troopers said they need feminine hygiene products and baby supplies (diapers/wipes/formula). If you want to donate, please drop items at Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists 203 N Cedar Ave in Cookeville.
