Happy Anniversary ladies !
Let's celebrate our December Anniversaries! 🎉🎉🎉
This month we Celebrate Danielle, Brenda & Laura. All 3 Doulas have been with the collective since December of 2023! What a pleasure to have these wonderful ladies on the team!
Let's get to know each of them a little better! And if you've had the pleasure to work with any of them, leave them a comment! ❤️
Danielle Hoose- Birth Doula
"I’ve always wanted an unmedicated natural birth. However, my first two births (2017 and 2019) I wound up getting the epidural at 7cm and 8cm. I didn’t succeed at an all natural unmedicated birth until my most recent baby (2023). It was my shortest, hardest, most intense birth. But it was my happiest and most empowered birth as I did it all natural like I always wanted. It was in that moment that I knew my calling was to be a doula and likewise empower women to advocate for themselves and know that they can achieve the birth that they have always wanted."
Brenda Allen- Birth Doula
"My interest in birth started to blossom at the age of 5, when my mother had her first home birth. In that atmosphere I felt at home with the Midwives and Doulas. That feeling only got stronger with my mother's next 2 home births. At age 21, I had my first daughter, unmedicated, in a hospital with an amazing Doula. Her willingness to want to help me however she could, more seriously pushed me towards my goal to become a Doula myself. So in 2018, I started working as a Doula, and then certified sometime later."
Laura Swift-Postpartum Doula
"I have always loved every part of motherhood and the reason I studied nursing was to help take the fear out of childbirth for families. Labor and delivery was my first love and after twenty-five years, I discovered birth photography.
In 2020, I became a Doula so I could still support my birth clients AND bring my camera along. To my surprise, I fell in love with Doula work and especially postpartum support. I wanted each new family to have the best start possible."
