Do you and your partner find yourselves clashing over parenting styles?
Do these differences lead to tension or conflict at home?
Have you suggested therapy, but your partner isn’t quite ready to take that step?

You’re not alone—and there are ways to move forward together.

The Gottman Institute is offering a low-cost webinar designed to help couples navigate parenting differences with more understanding, cooperation, and productive communication.

Learn practical strategies to reduce conflict and strengthen your partnership—while staying aligned as parents.

Parenting is deeply personal. The way we respond to our children is often shaped by how we were raised, what our homes were like growing up, and the values we learned along the way.
When partners bring different parenting experiences and expectations into their relationship, those differences can sometimes lead to tension or misunderstandings.
In this webinar, we’ll explore how childhood experiences shape parenting perspectives and how couples can navigate those differences in a way that strengthens their partnership.
Drawing on Gottman research, participants will learn practical tools to communicate more effectively, reduce criticism and defensiveness, and work together as a parenting team.
Because raising kids is easier when you feel like you’re on the same team.

New Pathways has built a 24/7 shelter so families are no longer required to bounce back and forth between temporary shelters. New Pathways is a great resource for families in need!

✨ Big things are happening at our new 24/7 shelter… and we are getting so close! ✨

We’ve officially reached the inspection phase 🙌 — a HUGE milestone in this journey! Every step brings us closer to opening our doors and welcoming families into a safe, stable place to call home.

🛋 Furniture installation is set for mid-May (we can hardly wait to see it all come together!).

🔧 Inspections are underway
💛 And behind the scenes… so much is happening that it’s honestly hard to even grasp all the moving pieces.

What we do know is this: hope is being built here.

We are beyond excited to have our families fully moved in and comfortably settled into this beautiful new space in August. This dream has been years in the making, and seeing it come to life is something truly special.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us — we couldn’t do this without our incredible community 💛

Therapist Spotlight✨

“Hi, I’m Brittany. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and identity shifts. It’s really important to me that my clients feel seen and understood.

As a student intern, I bring fresh training, deep intentionality, and the support of my supervisors to each session. I’m grounded in systemic and relational perspectives, which means we don’t just look at symptoms but explore the roots.”

We’d like to extend a heartfelt shout out to Randy Wallace and Sheila Forbes, the previous owners of Family Based Therapy Associates, who retired in January. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for the strong foundation they built. We wish them all the very best as they embrace retirement and look forward to the new adventures ahead!

We’re also excited to give a warm welcome to Robbie Deering as she steps into her new role as owner. We look forward to this next chapter and all the continued growth and success to come!
