All the shopping🛍️, family drama😡, parties🎉, money leaving your wallet💸, cooking🍳, and (let’s be honest) running around like a chicken with their head off can take a MASSIVE toll on your health🥺!

STRESS not only manifests in your mind🧠, but IN YOUR PHYSICAL BODY🧍! Your muscles can tense, posture can change, and spinal abnormalities can start to EXHIBIT & become WORSE😨. Not to mention that when your body is so run down, you can get sick SO MUCH EASIER🤧!

And WHO can forget the STAPLE orange juice during breakfast🍊?!
How BENEFICIAL is fruit juice? Does it do more harm than good👎?

Let’s investigate🔬🧐!

FIBER🍏: It is GONE✌️ whenever a fruit is juiced! This fiber is important not only with digestive health🚽, but also in LESSENING the potential blood sugar spike📈 from the fruit! If you take JUST the juice🧃 and not the flesh of the fruit🍎, a blood sugar SPIKE is highly predicted!

SUGAR🍭: Have you ever wondered HOW MANY oranges🍊 were juiced to make your simple cup of orange juice🥤? Roughly 4 ORANGES make 1 cup of juice😳! From a vitamin standpoint, NICE👍! More seriously though, from a sugar standpoint, NOT GREAT👎!

CALORIC INTAKE🔢: In the same vein, more oranges🍊🍊🍊🍊 = more caloric intake🔢! Now this definitely depends on the fruit as they ALL vary in this criteria, but be advised that you need ALOT of that fruit to juice🥤, so expect MORE caloric intake vs eating a serving of that whole fruit🍓!

Colds & Flus season is, unfortunately, upon us! But take heart: YOU can FIGHT to stay healthy this season. One of those ways is grabbing Dr. Forbess’ book “Stop and Reverse Cold & Flus with Special Report on the C0r0naV!rus”📖! It lists EASY & PRACTICAL steps to prevent/stop a cold or flu… including a daily intake of probiotics which is what we are talking about today!

The term, probiotic, is tossed around rather often, but what is it & what does this have to do with yogurt?
Put simply, probiotics are GOOD bacteria (they aren’t ALL bad;) like bifidobacteria and lactobacillus (these are specifically found in most yogurts!) that promote a STRONG immune system that can DISMANTLE potential illnesses. So HIGHLY essential!
Not a huge fan of swallowing supplements? Yogurt is your new BEST FRIEND. Not advised to grab just ANY yogurt you see; many are HIGH in sugar but LOW in probiotic strains & protein. READ THOSE LABELS! Dr. Forbess HIGHLY recommends Greek Yogurt: typically low in sugar and higher in protein!

The art of chiropractic is the way in which chiropractors perform spinal adjustments. As such, there can be variation in treatment methods from one D.C. to another based on where and when they attended chiropractic college, their post-graduate training and what the individual chiropractor has found through his or her personal experience works best for the patients under their care. Dr. Forbess, at Stirling West Chiropractic, has found that a variety of techniques work effectively, but vary based on the need of the patient or condition. Dr. Forbess uses gentle manual techniques, but also uses the most cutting edge techniques involving instrument adjusting and other techniques that use little or no thrust to achieve optimal results. It depends on the condition of the patient. Every patient is unique and has different needs. Over 32 years of experience and learning new, advanced techniques helps more people than ever before. He has also developed a new technique he calls TriggerTap, a unique combination of techniques to get even more dramatic results!

Chiropractic spinal adjustments are extremely safe and effective in the hands of a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic like we have here at Stirling West Chiropractic, which is evidenced not only by a high rate of success and patient satisfaction. Dr. Forbess earned multiple Diplomates in Nutrition, to bring the people in his community better and a more holistic way of health. Initially earned a Nutrition Diplomate by the American Chiropractic Board of Nutrition in 2000. Since that time he has earned a Diplomates from the American Clinical Board of Nutrition and a Diplomate from the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition. Furthermore, he continued to earn a Certified Clinical Nutritionist certificate from the American and International Board of Clinical Nutritionists organization. These diplomates are Board Certified, and require annual additional continuing education, much like his chiropractic license. Stirling-West Chiropractic utilizes state of the art therapy equipment such as Cold Laser, Ultrasound, Interferential Current therapy, Russian stimulation, Hydromassage (but you stay dry!), Intersegmental Traction, Trigger Point therapy, Flexion-distraction, Scoliosis Treatment, and Whole Body Vibration.
