1. Fleas, Ticks, and Parasites
As temperatures rise, parasites become much more active.

• Keep pets on year-round flea and tick prevention
• Check pets after walks, hikes, or yard play
• Watch for excessive scratching, hair loss, or skin irritation
• Talk to your veterinarian about heartworm prevention, which is spread by mosquitoes
2. Seasonal Allergies
Just like people, pets can develop allergies to pollen, grasses, and mold.
Signs of allergies:
• Excessive licking of paws
• Ear infections or head shaking
• Itchy skin or rubbing on furniture
• Red or watery eyes

• Wipe paws after walks
