Let’s re-introduce Marcie!

Marcie Albertson is a 2010 graduate of Health Options Institute, and has been proudly serving clients at Get In Touch Massage Therapy for the past 10 years!
Marcie specializes in a wide range of modalities, including Deep Muscle, Swedish, Neuro-Muscular, Cranial-Sacral, Hot Stone, Pre-Natal, Reiki Energy Therapy, Oncology Massage, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage, Aromatherapy, and Reflexology. She also has a strong interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which informs her integrative and holistic approach.
With over 20 years as an artist and performer, Marcie brings creativity and intuition to her bodywork. She believes massage therapy is an art that blends traditional techniques with modern understanding to promote healing and balance.
Here are some fun facts about Marcie:
1. The theatre—oh, how I love the theatre! Before beginning my journey at GIT, I served as President and Youth Program Director for Allentown Public Theatre. I also volunteered with numerous theatre organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley and Berks County, immersing myself in a vibrant, creative community that continues to inspire me.
2. I had the joy of co-illustrating a children’s book published in Germany titled All’s Shell That Ends Shell. Created in collaboration with an architecture firm, the book uses the charming tale of a hermit crab to teach young readers about the importance of sustainability. An eco-friendly, virtual edition is also available online to make it more accessible for everyone.
3. I’ve dreamed of becoming a massage therapist since I was 14, but I first chose to pursue a four-year degree. I earned my BFA in Painting and Art History before heading straight to massage school. I feel incredibly grateful to be living a life where I can explore and integrate all of my passions.
