Hi everybody!
Please share this post with your friends, as I have some exciting changes that I'm making to my practice moving in to Fall and Winter. Please visit my website www.cooperstownacupuncture.com for full details and fees!
CHANGES TO MY SERVICES:
I’m redefining how I’m offering my skills, with options for acupuncture based approaches as well as modalities that don’t involve the use of needles:
Acupuncture Plus: These treatments include a blend of acupuncture, cupping, and bodywork/hands-on healing. Sessions are 60 min and are the gold standard for my care. From a holistic look at your health, these treatments provide systemic support and regulation of your overall physiology—a tune-up for your mind and body that facilitates health and well-being. Within the session we will also be able to target specific injuries or conditions, and apply a range of adjunct therapies to support what you need as an individual.
Acupuncture 4-Pack: Perfect for immune support, stress relief, injury recovery, health maintenance and more. Sessions are 30-45 minutes and are designed to be used with frequency for a 3-4 week tune-up. Treatments are acupuncture only.
• If you prefer to experience my work but are hesitant about needles, I have three options for you •
Cupping: These 30 min sessions are perfect for targeting tense, tight and sore muscles, as well as large-joint pain. Great for exercise/ injury recovery, cupping is an ancient technique that is once again gaining modern popularity, especially among athletes. The perfect non-invasive option for pain relief and management, cupping provides targeted deep tissue massage, drives local circulation to promote pain-relief and restores micro-vascular circulation in affected areas.
Cupping is great for shoulder and hip pain, back pain, any muscular pain, as well as upper-back and shoulder tension.
Hands-on Healing: This gentle therapy has been used for centuries as a primary and adjunct therapy to catalyze the healing process in the human body. The laying on of hands has its roots in many traditions and cultures; the form that I practice is a research and evidence based technique who’s effects have been studied over a dozen times at major universities throughout the United States. www.bengstonresearch.com
While especially effective for aggressive, and inflammatory conditions as well as injury recovery, hands on healing has many uses and applications.
Bodywork: A blend of Tuina bodywork (Chinese massage), acupressure and cupping make up the core of this 60 min session. Different from western or Swedish massage, Tuina is an invigorating approach to bodywork that releases tension at a muscular and fascial level using strokes that are designed to keep the whole body in gentle motion while targeting sore and tense muscles. Combined with acupressure and cupping, these sessions are effective for release and relaxation, as well as injury recovery.
