Dr. Wilson provides comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. She has a strong interest in women’s health, specifically perimenopause and menopause treatment options. She offers cryotherapy, simple excisional biopsies, wound care, and workers compensation.

Dr. Wilson earned her medical degree from Medical University of the Americas in Devens, MA. Her residency took place at Ellis Medicine in Schenectady, NY. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Without blood tests, biopsies, cultures, and many other types of tests, our care teams wouldn’t be able to monitor, diagnose, or treat what ails their patients with accuracy. There is no simple, one-step solution to prevent tick bites. Your strategies should adapt according to the tick’s life stage.

During the spring and first half of summer, nymph-stage ticks are most active. They are tiny – only about the size of a poppy seed – you might need a magnifying glass to spot them.

Adult ticks become more common as summer continues and fall begins. They are larger and can be easier to spot.

The larger a tick is, the higher up on your body it might first latch on to. Be sure to check your entire body, clothes, and gear carefully after you spend time outdoors. If any pets were outside with you, be sure to check them too.

Last Tuesday, members of Bassett's Rehabilitation Services and Human Resources Department visited Herkimer County Community College. They met with students in HCCC’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program to offer their perspectives on Physical Therapy as a profession. They shared experiences, prepared them what to expect as professionals, and gave tips about how to stand out to future employers.

Congratulations to Christine Jasewicz, LPN at Herkimer Specialty Services, our most recent DAISY Award honoree!

Chris was declared “the best nurse” by a colleague. “She is one of the most kind and caring nurses I have ever met,” they went on. “Her dedication and compassion for patients does not go unnoticed. I have witnessed her selflessly going out of her way for her patients many times. It is scary for a patient to have a catheter placed and Chris is able to put a patient’s mind at ease every time she has to do one. If anyone deserves this award, it is her!”
