Woodside Hall isn’t just a home—it’s a piece of living history nestled in the heart of Cooperstown. Originally built in 1829 by Judge Samuel B. Morehouse on the site of a former wigwam, this stately Greek Revival manor has seen nearly two centuries of remarkable stories. From the unique Egyptian Gate that still stands proudly, to a visit from President Martin Van Buren who famously lost his way in the gardens, Woodside has always held a charm all its own.

Throughout the years, Woodside has been home to judges, senators, early automobile owners, and even a Vogue-era “supermodel.” The walls of this home have witnessed love, loss, legacy, and resilience.

Today, Woodside Hall carries on that legacy—not through politics or prestige—but through compassion and care. As a certified Adult Home, we offer more than just a place to live. We offer warmth, connection, and dignity. Our residents are family, and this historic house is their home.

From its storied past to the heartfelt present, Woodside Hall remains a place where people are truly cared for—and where history continues to live on, one resident at a time.
