This is one of the top reasons I love my belly dance retreat so much!

Some of the instructors show up with (self-composed) choreography, which they teach in their classes. Their students learn the choreography, practice outside of class, and then perform together with their instructor for all of us! Here's Instructor Tamra Khan's class performing the choreography she taught in her class at retreat this year (2024).

This is a short clip I did while I was on the San Carlos Apache Reservation this week. I'm red in the face after climbing up the steep side of the mesa. I rarely feel my age but I sure did that day. I used to feel part mountain goat and could scamper up that thing. Please forgive my repetition in the end of thr clip. Lol.
I'll be making another video with my thoughts about the reservation in current times. Yes, everything changes, but it was a hard hit to feel such a huge energetic shift.

My retreat is next week!!! It's hard to believe. It's going to be amazing this year. I spent most of the day contacting people to see what dietary restrictions they have so the cook could plan our meals. That is a new thing this year. We used to cook for ourselves. Less time in the kitchen means more dance and nature time!!!
