April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.

Together, we bring more than just "services." We bring love, comfort, and the dignity every person deserves. ☺️

🎉 Congratulations to our Whatever It Takes Champions 2025 Annual Winner, Brenda Hughes! 🎉

👩‍⚕️ Brenda goes above and beyond for not only the residents and their families but for the staff as well. She has been a dedicated RN working for us for 10 years. She shows compassion and love to each and every resident she meets. Even after she retired from working the floor, Brenda chose to continue working one day a week as the Wound Care Nurse. 🩹

✝️ Brenda also volunteers at the facility each week to provide prayer and ministry with her church group or just be a listening ear for the residents, their families or a staff member that is in need of a comforting smile or a shoulder to cry on. During her off time, Brenda makes a variety of goodies throughout the year, specializing in various flavors of fudge that she brings to share with the staff. 😋 She truly embodies the definition of whatever it takes all year through!
