Welp, it's been a day.

From the outside, it might look like I have it all together.

Behind the scenes some days? Between client texts and recalibrating feeding plans, I’m forgetting the small things...like how protein before coffee would have made this day so much more manageable.

Some seasons we deprioritize ourselves to make room for others. We care, we show up, we hold it all.

And then there comes a point where self-care isn’t optional anymore, it’s mandatory.

Some days I’m organized, nourished, and grounded. Alhumdulilah

Other days I’m hoping my car makes it to the gas station. Alhumdulilah

Who else can relate? 😅

Are you worried your baby isn’t getting enough?

This is the one question every parent I have ever met has asked - you aren't alone with this worry.

Here’s what you need to know.

Output, behavior, feeding patterns, and growth tell a much clearer story than anxiety ever will—but far too often parents are completely unaware of what to look for.

In a 20-minute clarity call, we’ll go over what matters most for your baby and discuss a clear path forward.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but engorgement shouldn’t last a week. Ever.

Yes, fullness can be normal in the early days—but ongoing, painful engorgement is a sign something needs adjusting, not something you’re meant to suffer through.

Trouble removing milk?
Latching seemed okay, but now, by day 2-3 seems impossible?
Not getting any milk with pumping?
Baby seems really fussy and feeding every hour?

It is very likely not a milk problem and actually an inflammation problem!

That’s why I created my Quick Relief Protocol Guide—to help parents get relief within 24–48 hours and prevent engorgement from becoming clogs, mastitis, or early weaning.

If you want personalized guidance alongside the guide, start with a 20-minute clarity call, and we’ll decide the best next step together.

Latched Eternal Lactation Consulting

Hey everyone! So I did a thing 😅 For those of you that know me you are probably thinking "uh finally, I thought you've already BEEN doing this." Yes, to a certain extent I have been but now I am taking it to the next level. đŸ€— If you know me you probably know me as "that one that is always talking about breastfeeding". Yep that's me. Lactation enthusiast, breastfeeding advocate, lactavist, baby whisperer. We go by many names but as a Lactation Consultant we all have one fundamental goal. Protect, promote, and support breastfeeding. Meeting people wherever they are along their breastfeeding journey and helping them meet their personal goals.

I started my Lactation journey when I had my first baby, I struggled through sore ni***es, painful latch, engorgement, oversupply, breastfeeding an early term infant, breastfeeding after a c-section (3 times!), poor weight gain in my newborn and lack of support. My biggest support at the time was my pediatrician. I know what everyone is thinking, who is this pediatrician and where can I get one like her!? Sadly, she has since retired but I'll always remember the support I received with my first baby. I never knew about any lactation resources available in my community. I became pregnant with my second child at 8 months postpartum and about 4-5 months after having him I found La Leche League and those peer to peer meetings changed my life forever. I wanted to help women who were struggling through the same things in struggled with at the beginning of my breastfeeding journey. So, I became a LLL leader and later an IBCLC, I transitioned from being a floor nurse on the mother/baby unit to working as a hospital based lactation consultant. Today, I am proud to tell you I am also a PRIVATE PRACTICE IBCLC!â€đŸ€±

"Latched Eternal Lactation Consulting" exemplifies my philosophy regarding breastfeeding. I know what many of you may be thinking, "she is one of those lactation consultants that wants me to breastfeed my child until they are 5 years old". If that's what works for you, you are amazing! But Latched Eternal doesn't mean that I expect any woman to breastfeed for any prescribed amount of time. All babies eventually wean as nature intended them to and the age of weaning varies drastically from one baby to another. Our breastfeeding journeys and stories stay with us long after our children have weaned. I remember listening to a lecture on lactation and got chills when the researchers talked about some interviews that they had conducted with elderly women with dementia. The women couldn't remember their child's name but they could tell you about their birth and breastfeeding experience with that child in great detail. Even long after our children wean, those memories stay with us forever. The knowledge and experience we gained through that journey overflows into future generations and is carried on throughout time. After our children wean, those memories are latched eternally in our minds and in our hearts. My goal with my private practice is to expand lactation support in my community, provide education to EMPOWER others to reach their goals despite various seemingly insurmountable barriers and create a platform to share stories, advocate for each other and provide support throughout your journey.
