2025 was a blessing, we sold out of honey before the spring honey pull, dabbled in a small wedding and had the most sales to date since we began in 2023. It was also probably the most challenging. Crop loss, unconventional weather, and a newborn was stressful to say the least.

This year we’re learning from our first three years and making some tweaks to better balance the business and spending precious time with our boys.

Summer and Fall Subscriptions are live! We’re considering making some pick up location changes this year and for now we are only releasing our subscriptions for our Ocelot pickup location. Please note we are making all three of our subscription seasons 4 weeks long this year. You can expect Summer to be in August and Fall to be in September.

This was the last bunch of dahlias before the great dahlia dig of 2025 commenced. I keep admiring these as I slowly earn my next trip to the chiropractor. But it’s all worth it! They’re gorgeous! About half of the 225 plants are dug, getting there!

Our spring tuber sale is officially on the calendar too! Mark your calendar for our annual in person sale, this year at the Summit County Home show at the fairgrounds in Tallmadge Ohio. Come visit me April 17th-19th 2026 and grab some of these beauties for your own garden.

The end has come with last night’s frost. It’s been a wonderful season. We cut what we could last night before the frost and I’ve decided to finish the year with wholesale priced dahlia bunches!

Dahlias are high end, wedding worthy flowers that you won’t find at the grocery store.

I have them bunched in mini bouquets of 5 stems for $10. Come and grab one or a few to make the size bouquet that fits your fancy or your budget.

These bunches are no frills — rubber banded and unwrapped, but at $2 a stem instead of $4-6 you won’t be disappointed.

And don’t forget to soak up the sun before winter comes!

Fresh new signs and fresh flowers this Tuesday morning.

Dried floral pumpkins ($15 or 2/$25) wine bottle stoppers ($20) and our sting savers ($16) and calendula cream ($16) are always available upon request. Just use our fancy schmancy new sign with our numbers or our socials in advance to message us! 🙃

Ps our new Zelle QR code might be giving some errors so use the old one in the bottom corner if you have troubles until we get those kinks ironed out.

We’re so close to the weekend, I can’t wait! Fresh flower restock for today, Friday 9/26. You can expect the stand to stay stocked all weekend! The dahlias are booming! Flowers today range from $15-$25. Both spring and fall honey is stocked and our holiday gift items are available by request. Holiday items are indoors protected from heat, light and humidity.

Today was our last day of fall subscriptions and our stand is stocked with bouquets, arrangements and both spring and fall honey. Swing on by the stand at 2697 summit rd and brighten up your rainy week while you stay inside with your tea and fresh local honey.

I will be at the Medina Cleveland clinic medical office building tomorrow from 9-3 with our dried floral pumpkins, Christmas ornaments, wine bottle stoppers and herbal remedies. I’d love to meet you! It’s been a heavy week. Flowers have always been therapeutic. I spent some time this morning appreciating God’s creation and beauty as I restocked the stand. All of the colors and perfect symmetry of the petals remind you that someone has to be in control. It’s not just a random chance. Do some blooms bloom wonky, or missing petals? Absolutely, but we live in a fallen, imperfect world. That imperfection doesn’t stop us from appreciating the beauty and trusting.

The boys have spent the last few weeks raising monarchs and we just let numbers three, four and five go today. Only two left to emerge. It’s been so fun, the whole family comes running when notices we have a new one. I have a feeling this will be a yearly family tradition.

We’re switching it up a little for the month of September and going back to our roots and where it all began. Two years ago our flowers were based solely out of the stand before we moved to subscriptions. This month, the stand is coming back to life where you can expect flowers on Fridays with a few pop-ups on Thursdays and Saturdays. Honey is stocked daily and our sting savers, calendula cream and dried floral resin gifts are available upon request. We would love to maybe someday upgrade the stand to make some of these light and heat sensitive products more readily available but in the meantime we will be looking into bringing some items to local gift shops. If you or someone you know are looking for a new addition to a shop before Christmas let me know!

Just a few snippets from summer subscriptions this year. The weather has been wild and it’s one of those years I’m reminded how hard it is to farm. The dahlias who already are known to be divas have took it up a notch this season. I don’t think we give those who grow our food on a daily basis enough credit…it’s stressful.

But the dahlias are finally getting their act together and Summer subscribers are getting a bonus week next week. We will be wrapping up the 2025 season with Fall subscriptions to begin in September.
