All In for National Epilepsy Awareness Month!
The Epilepsy Foundation of America is encouraging everyone to show up and do what we can to support epilepsy awareness. Share a story, wear purple, support someone with epilepsy! Each action counts. Together we can build a stronger, more informed community!

Quick Facts About Epilepsy:
1 in 10 people will have a seizure and 1 in 26 will develop epilepsy during their lifetime.
There are 3.4 million people living with epilepsy in the United States; 456,000 of them are children.
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that can affect any one of us regardless of race, age, or gender.
Seizures are a symptom of epilepsy. Not all seizures are the same. Many people with epilepsy have more than one type of seizure.

๐Ÿ’™ Community Emergency Support Needed ๐Ÿ’™

Due to the ongoing government shutdown, Texas families who rely on SNAP food assistance may lose access to vital benefits in just a few days. This crisis will impact children, seniors, and hard-working families right here in our local community.

Thatโ€™s why we are partnering with GRACE Grapevine to help prepare for what could be an enormous rise in food insecurity this November. Families may soon be forced to choose between putting food on the table or keeping a roof over their headsโ€”and together, we can prevent that.

Hereโ€™s how you can help:

โœ… Donate non-perishable food at either MD Pediatrics office (Flower Mound or Coppell) and we will drop off to GRACE Food Pantry

Every can, every box, every item makes a difference.

Most needed items:
Boxed Pasta
Cereal
Cooking Oil
Ramen
Toothbrushes
Deodorant
Body Wash
Shampoo/Conditioner
Laundry Detergent
Razors

Together, we can ensure no child goes hungry in our community. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“ฆ Donation bins will be available starting this week at both office locations.
Thank you for being a practice family that caresโ€”not just for our own children, but for all children.

๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš’ National First Responders Day ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš‘

Today we honor and thank the brave men and women who serve as first responders in our communitiesโ€”our EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, and all those who answer the call in emergencies.

Your courage, quick action, and compassion protect our children, families, and communities every single day.

From all of us at MD Pediatric Associates, we are deeply grateful for your service and sacrifice.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, the Flower Mound Police Department will host their biannual medication disposal event in partnership with LISD and the DEA. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents are invited to drop off all expired, unwanted, or unused medications for disposal at Flower Mound High School (3411 Peters Colony Rd.) or Edward S.
