John Alagood - Certified Senior Advisor

John Alagood is the owner of Senior Care Authority of greater Dallas - Fort Worth and a frequent speaker on senior living and care topics. He and his team have helped hundreds of families find dignity and quality of life in later years. His extensive experience with aging and dementia, both personal and professional, allows him to help families make courageous and informed decisions under difficult circumstances.

John is a Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and the first Certified Placement and Referral Specialist in Texas. Additionally he is the founding President of the National Placement and Referral Alliance of Dallas - Fort Worth and serves on the national advisory board for Senior Care Authority. In 2018 he was recognized nationally as the Senior Care Advisor of the Year for his work advocating for older adults.

“It shouldn’t be this hard for families to find the best senior living options, especially when the stakes are so high,” says the long-time Dallas resident. “However, there are over 500 options in DFW for assisted living alone, with wildly varying degrees of quality and service. We make the advocacy and guidance we would want for our own families accessible to seniors throughout DFW.”

John spends a great deal of time touring and reviewing the local living communities — including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and residential care homes — to help his clients make the best possible decision for their loved ones.
