Hey everyone!!

I’ve been silent on here for awhile.. but I’ve still been keeping up with some of you silently. 😏

BUTTTT… I’ve decided to step away from all social media for the next 40 days.

CONSISTENCY

I was talking to an online client this week about how often he had gone to the gym over the past week. He told me he had worked out every day except Saturday (6 out of 7 days). But then he added that he didn’t feel like he got as good of a workout in each time because he did them all at home rather than going to a gym.

I replied to him that I’d rather he get an okay workout in everyday than an amazing workout in 2 times a week.

In the instance of getting better physically generally quantity will put weight quality. Don’t get stuck on how good of a workout you did rather think about how good your daily habits are towards working out.

That led me to working out in my guest bedroom with Tucko today. Because I only had 45min to do something but I wanted to go to the gym… but then I thought about consistency rather than “what” I was actually doing.

Do something now rather than waiting for the perfect thing later 💪🏼

KETTLEBELL DEADLIFT PROGRESSIONS

Start where you are and master the basics. I always come back to the dowel rod often to reinforce proper form.

Use these progressions and see if it helps to load up more weight.

Get savagely good at the basics and then you’ll get savagely strong 💪🏼

GRAB LIFE BY THE BELLS

Sometimes when you make a decision to do the thing that you really don’t want to do… you get rewarded for it.

Low energy, bad mood, and just completely out of it today. Felt like skipping the workout.

I bit the bullet and did it anyways. I knew it would set me up for a better week.

I already feel better! And on top of that, surprised me with this very fitting shaker bottle.

So just grab life by the bells this week… even if you don’t want to! 😁💪🏼

WALKING

So many people underestimate the power of walking every single day. Great entry point for anyone to get active again.

Don’t over complicate things.. just grab your headphones, turn on a podcast, head outside and walk until you feel like you’ve had enough. Do it every day.

PAIN

Had a discussion today with my brother about pain. Everyone deals with it in some regard. To a certain extent it’s completely normal.

A lot of people assume trainers are free of this. But I guarantee you ask any trainer or coach and they will tell you in some shape or form they have (or are currently are) dealt with pain.

But not all pain is created equal and not all pain is bad. Some important things to consider…

1. What is pain?

2. How does the pain I’m experiencing affect me mentally, emotionally, physically?

3. What are the things that I can still do even with this pain? (I.e what do you enjoy - do more of that)

4. What activities can I do to make the pain lessen? (I.e. what activities, exercises, movements can you still do that can allow you to elevate the heart rate and stay in shape)

Lastly - it’s always good to talk to a medical professional to see what the best steps for you might be. After speaking with them connect with me and let’s come up with a game plan to work with and around tour pain to get you feeling better.

We all have some level of pain management to deal with but it makes it a lot easier to have someone work you through it. Let’s start moving more, moving better, and getting healthier.

Don’t let pain keep you from starting. Listen to your body, start where you are, and then progress on that until you’re where you want to be.

GETTING BACK INTO IT

I get it.. it sucks getting back into something when you’ve taken so much time off. Sometimes it’s defeating, embarrassing, or just straight up hard.

That’s where a coach comes into play.

Kids come back from summer and need a coach to work with them to get ready for the first game. You as a dad shouldn’t be any different. Save yourself time and frustration by having someone like me hold you accountable, progress you properly, and answer the questions along the way.

It’s not easy getting back into the swing of things but I guarantee you it’s 10x easier when you have someone pushing you to get better.

Stop thinking about it, just make the decision and let’s get you to where you want to be!

To all the dads out there… let’s get stronger for your kids, for yourself, for your family! 💪🏼

STRONG MEN

A lot of people who know me know what my mission as a trainer is. But I think it’s time to put it out there again for those of you who don’t know.

My mission is to make married men and fathers athletes again. I want to give men confidence through building strength. I want fathers to dedicate time to working on their own physcial health so they can be a role model to their kids.

Why?? A lot of men are really good at pursuing their careers and growing their family. But a lot of them forget that you can’t pour from an empty bucket. I want men to show up for their families both emotionally AND physically. I want men to be healthy enough to meet their grandkids AND be able to run around with them. I want men to watch their kids play sports AND still whoop them 1v1 😎I want men to feel confident in their bodies, confident in their movement, and confident that they are being their best for their families.

Through all the men I’ve worked with so far I can see the confidence that comes from getting stronger and moving well.

I want to provide that to more fathers. I want them to have more energy to show up better. I want them to have stronger arms and legs so their significant other can compliment them. I want them to move better so they can always keep up with their kids.

If you’re a father - I want to work with you.

If your a married man - I want to work with you.

If you think you’re too old and it’s too late - I want to prove you wrong.

If you want to be the best version of yourself for your partner and for your kids - I want to work with you.

If you want to say “my legs haven’t been this defined and strong since my 20s” (actual quote from client) - I WANT TO WORK WITH YOU.

So for those of you who didn’t know my WHY.. now you do.

Spread the word to all the guys who want to improve. Let’s build a community of strong and dedicated dads! 💪🏼

Wondering when I’ll have all the answers

Then realizing I’ll never know it all. And then realizing that becoming a great coach is really about becoming a LEARN IT ALL not a know it all.

The pursuit of always finding new ideas, new processes, new ways of thinking is the goal.

Failing and then understanding why I failed and how I can serve a client better in the future. Learning from my mistakes is the goal.

Showing up even on the long days and the hard days is sometimes exhausting. In the end it allows me to get one step closer to becoming the best coach I can be, and ultimately that’s what I want to be for clients.

No where near close to being great but I’m ON MY WAY. Enjoying every client’s success along the way.
