Let’s be honest, some days parenting feels like a full-contact sport and your coffee is just a warm hug that tried. 🫠

Here are 5 survival tips for parenting when you’re running on fumes and caffeine gave up:
1. Lower the bar. If everyone is alive and semi-fed, you’re winning.
2. Keep it simple. Today doesn’t need to be extraordinary. Just be there.
3. Lean on routines. They provide structure when your energy is low.
4. Take micro-breaks. Even 5 quiet minutes with your coffee can help you reset
5. Let go of perfection. You don’t need to be a Pinterest parent. You’re a survivalist with style.

You’re doing better than you think, even if your toddler’s wearing Halloween socks in July and calls ketchup “red juice.”

Is your child the life of the party one moment and quietly recharging the next? Every child is unique—and understanding whether they’re introverted, extroverted, or somewhere in between can make a big difference in how we support them.

In our latest blog, “Introvert, Extrovert, or Both? Understanding Your Child,” we dive into how personality types show up in kids and how parents can nurture their strengths. 💬🧠

By Ricardo Sardina , LMHC Throughout my years as a therapist, parents have come to me with many different challenges their children are facing. One of the most common concerns is making sense of their child’s behavior, especially when it seems so different from their own.

🧠 Is Your Child an Introvert, Extrovert… or Both?

Understanding your child’s temperament is key to helping them thrive—not just academically, but emotionally and socially too. 💬

🔹 Introverts may need quiet time to recharge and can be deep thinkers.
🔹 Extroverts often gain energy from social interaction and may be more expressive.
🔹 Ambiverts fall somewhere in between, and that’s perfectly normal!

đź’ˇ Tip: Instead of labeling your child, observe how they naturally respond to different environments. Then, create routines and spaces that honor their individual needs.

✨ At Coral Gables Counseling, we help parents better understand their children’s inner world so they can foster growth, confidence, and connection.
